Questions & Answers

Oana B : How many cards are for color calibration?ROSARIO J : One card for color calibration and one card for gray tone calibration. You don't need more.ANDREW R : Includes one grayscale step wedge and one color step wedge.
Audrey B : Don't you have one that does not have a brand name on it? We want to use it for web-published photographs.VIRGINIA O : Hey Audrey, I've never seen any color separation guides without a brand name. I would recommend altering it in photoshop though, as between brands they are pretty generic. All the best, ZachPETE C : Use a straight-edge and a sharp X-acto knife to trim off the offending portion. You could even get fancy and cut out the center section, splice the two pieces together, thus preserving both the ruler and the color patches.PHILLIP K : The Tiffen scales all have the brand stamped to them. There are a few solutions. You can create one in Photoshop easy enough paint it. Take it down to a local paint shop/hardware store & have them create a custom paint mix. Apply a few light coats. Even the X-Rite versions have their brand name & I believe the Kodak versions did as well.STEVEN S : Why don't you just make one up in photoshop?
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?MARK L : Adorama has competitive prices, great service, and fast shipping.BARBARA D : My web designer told me to!!EDWARD G : Because I need them for checking color while shooting product.Pentti V : Requested by our customerROBERT G : My color calibration is for a science project. I trust Kodak and Tiffen because of their science expertise.Ethan T : project requirementEd G : For color-correction, while capturing/shooting Fine ArtSowerby S : I needed them for my workKEVIN C : For checking welding filler rod dirt levels.Ed G : Because I need it. DuhhhhALBANY PRINT, I : We will use these to calibrate the color on our xerox digital press.PETER G : only one on the market this is the same as the old Kodak version, but printed on thinner stockSTEVEN S : Good to include in the feild when shooting artwork. Speeds color correx.

Excellent aids for color correction.

These cards have one purpose and they function perfectly. I copy paintings, watercolors, and drawings for artists and by including these in the photos I can achieve excellent color balance when printing.

Purchased product in 94 it is invaluable

I purchased the product in 1994 it was used for quality control in the photographic archival aspect of a large scale engineering study conducted by a Gov. Dep. at Redbank in Queensland Australia. Whilst now retired I still use the original as a quality management tool.

Don't do a professional scan without it!

Color separation information is critical to make sure that your professional scans end up in print with the correct color. These targets make the job at press time simple.
