if I want developing film at home what kind of chemicals I should by? for color film
The RA2 Bleach/Fix is used to develop color paper. To develop color negative film, you need chemicals that are labeled C-41. These consist of a developer, bleach, fixer and stabilizer. The chemicals for processing color slide film are labeled E6 and consist of a first developer, color developer, bleach/fix and stabilizer. The chemicals are sold separately and in kits. Buying a kit would be the easiest thing to do, especially for your first time developing film. Tetenal, Rollei, Unicolor and Arista all sell kits. Unfortunately I did not see any kits at Adorama. Nor did I see any E6 chemicals or C-41 developer. They are available elsewhere. Do a web search for Arista or the others, since I am not supposed to mention another store. I think you will like developing your own film. Temperature control is more important with color development than with black and white, but it is not too difficult. Good luck. I hope this was helpful.
