The Kowa SV 12x50 Binocular is a large sized binocular pushing the limits of handheld viewing without the wobbles. Long term viewing will, in all probability, require some kind of support for these powerful and optically precise full sized binoculars. The optics are fully multicoated minimizing light loss and increasing brightness. Phase coated for true color fidelity and provided with a highly reflective coating that produces a clear visual range and sharp image puts this binocular on a level of optical excellence. With an objective large enough for good observing during twilight hours when the game is more apt to show itself, this size binocular is also a good choice for astronomical viewing.
The housing is fully sealed and purged with bone-dry nitrogen to ensure all-weather performance. Regardless of the climate - the field-of-view will be sparkling clear, while the optic's internal mechanism will be well protected from the negative effects of moisture. Outdoor enthusiasts will greatly appreciate the benefits of a comfortable grip and the added shock-resistance provided by the rubber armoring. Twist-up eyecups contribute to the viewing comfort; twist down for use with glasses, twist up for use without. The conspicuous red line at the intersection of the closed bridge adds a distinctly snazzy flavor to the overall visual presentation.
This is a large sized, roof binocular with an especially sleek and attractive flowing design. Smooth and sleek with strategically placed indentations in the rubber, this is a scope for distance viewing and/or low-light conditions.
