I am a Lensbaby addict since it first came out and really jumped at the chance to own and work with all the Lensbaby accessories and now have most of the Optic Switch pieces, which make me very happy....Do not be afraid to experiment, to bend to spindle and mutilate your digital photos. It does take a certain amount of practice to produce satisfying photos, but along the way you discover wonderful avenues of creativity and self fulfillment....I own the Composer and the Muse and these add on pieces drop in and each one produces its own neat effects....So much fun, so little time....I love my Lensbaby

When I got this, it was cheaper to buy the kit than to buy things separately. I like these lenses, but they're very special purpose. Changing aperture is still slow with these (besides the pinhole lens).

The Optic Box set for the Lensbaby looks good on paper, but in real world use, I found it wanting. The system works with the Lensbaby Composer by taking out the existing optic "core" and putting a different one in its place. The three optic choices are "single glass", "plastic" and pin-hole/zone plate". The problem is that each of these optic looks are too extreme. The plastic lens for example creates such a "foggy", flared image that unless you are looking for an over-the-top dreamy look, the optic becomes useless. There is no real way to cut back on the look. The other optics offer the same, extreme look that can be useful, but only if it's exactly what you intended. I would have preferred some method for adding or subtracting the effect, much like the Lensbaby itself gives you.
