it's been my experience that purchasing batteries from the same manufacturer as your camera pays huge dividends. These batteries traditionally hold a higher percentage of their charge over a longer period of time. My advice? Buy an extra battery at the point of purchasing a new camera, it will ensure you always have a fresh battery, camera ready. The Leica charger also comes with a plug for charging in your car as you head for a shoot. Batteries charge quickly and hold their charge over an extended period of time.
