LegCoat tripod leg covers protect your shoulders when carrying your gear and the camouflage helps break up the shape of your tripod at the same time.
Made of closed cell foam padding and heavy-duty neoprene, it is soft to the touch but rugged in function.
The padding guards your hands from the cold tripod legs in lower temperatures, and can protect the tripod from minor nicks and scratches. Made with Velcro fastners for easy assembly.
The covers come in a set of three, sized specifically for your Gitzo 1227/1297220/1257 Bogen/Manfrotto 3021/3221/MN055MF3 tripod.

While my Gitzo 1227 tripod is my favorite there are times when I really wanted something to improve my grip on the legs. The Lens Coat Tripod Leg Covers make the aluminum legs on my 1227 much more comfortable in cold, hot or inclement weather. They add very little weight or bulk and make handling the tripod much easier. One thing I did was to put strips of Velcro tape on the legs and inside the covers to make them removable. I put the softer loop strip of Velcro on the leg so as to make gripping the legs non-abrasive to my hands with the covers off the tripod. That way I have the best of both worlds.
I own several tripods but one of my favorites is an older Gitzo with aluminum legs. These tripod leg covers make it much more comfortable to use. I do year-round photography in the SW United States. So in the winter the legs get cold and in the summer sun tripod legs can get very hot to the touch. The leg covers make it nice to handle in any weather. They do add some bulk but not enought weight to be a problem. I highly recommend them.
