Great acquisition time. Good glass. Several reticles. For this kind of money, it'd be nice to have units also in feet (doing the math for us), not just yards and meters.

As all the reviews I have the same problem stated by the others before, THE LIGHT IS FADING, this is a flaw in the design itself, and for me worst even because I live in Brazil which there's no technical support, that means I have to make a temporary exportation to have it fixed, the representative in Brazil have difficulties to send it over to the factory, so he told me to send it by myself, in resume very disappointed, with a brand that for years I have trusted.

Worked well for a couple of months. Display became "less bright" over time. Decided to replace the battery. Can only see the display in very low light. Was useful for about 6 months.

I'm giving this two stars instead of one simply because it worked very well for one season. I purchased this mainly for archery use and loved it the first season I used it. That first season it got used a half dozen times. The second season some of the red reticle started to fade, but I chalked it up to batteries that may be dying. I replaced them after the second season and everything was at least brighter. After storing it inside, in a tote, in a cabinet, in low humidity, I turned it on months before the third season and the reticle and yardage were completely unreadable. I inquired to support, since I had only used this product a handful of times over two seasons. But, since I was just outside two years, I was unable to get a replacement. Disappointed. Liked it during year one but it all faded away after that. Would not buy again.

Used the product sparingly during archery deer season. Was accurate, but the LED display suddenly started showing only partial numbers. Changed batteries, no improvement. Most disappointing part was contacting Leupold and being told,"the LED cards wear out, nothing we can do about it." For a high tech company with quality products I certainly expected to get more than 3-4 years out of a range finder. Why pay for quality if you have to replace it in a few years anyway???

It worked very well for about 2 seasons. 3rd see season, it won't range past maybe 250 yards. Clear, digital readout is great. Range just keeps getting shorter and shorter. Once it gets below 200 yards, I guess I will have to find something new. I use this range finder a lot. I guess they they have a short life span.

Customer service rep said he owns 2 other versions that were much older and still going strong, after asking me if I wanted to trade in towards a new. Obviously there was no reason to purchase another after the first laid an egg. He did claim that this is the electronics going bad in the unit and does happen. I was an avid Leupold fan until now, for a name of that stature to not stand behind premium dollar products it gave me a new opinion on them. I hope no one has to learn the hard way like I did on this product. Please avoid using their range finders if you take anything from this.

Bought this range finder because of the Leupold reputation for great optics. Optics are very good which is the reason I give it one star. First couple of years I really liked this unit. It lasted for about 3 years of light use and then the display faded to the point where the unit is not usable. Called customer service and their response was to give me a "discount" on a new range finder since the warranty is only two years. I can buy a comparable range finder on sale for about the same price as their "discount." Very disappointed with Leupold's response. Sorry, but the research I did shows this was a common problem with this rangefinder and Leupold is not backing their product. If you're going to spend premium dollar for a range finder I would not recommend Leupold. I'd like to know how many people that bought this model are still using it.

Rangefinder is easy to use and gives spot on distances. The true ballistic range feature is great because it makes the necessary calculations for angle shots. If you do your part, you will not miss another shot using this instrument. You can also program in the drop table for your chosen round.

I'm loving my rangefinder I can actually spot up to 1000 yards away clearly I not only use it for deer hunting but I use it on a daily basis for work purposes there's really nothing I would change

Optics are great, accurate, and fast target acquisitions. Will never buy leupild electronics again. Oled display fades a d all Leupold will do is offer a discount off of MSRP wich works out slightly better than the going price.

Edges fading, used only several times. Laser won't pick up readings, just clicking and clicking as the deer walk by. Frustrating.

Anyone that hunts Iowa knows the different weather patterns. I am a strong avud deer hunter in all weather. I have only had mine for about 4 years. I can barely make out the distance. I can not change from bow to straight distance.

Just a touch over 2 years old and it stopped working. Would display only the reticle, the angle sign, the word "range". So basically it's now an expensive paperweight.

Had a hard time rangeing a deer past 600 yards, readings started to fade after 1 year, didn't affect the range tho, I hope Leopold replaces or has some kind of compensation for it, I've read other reviews and same is happening with theirs, for the price I really thought it was gonna last longer.

I used it to range golf shots. Within a month, the screen data began slowly to fade. Now, it shows nothing. Battery has been changed from another Leu model that I use to replace the unusable RX-1000i TBR DNA. So, I know batteries I've used were new/good and installed properly. I hope Leupold will take it and fix- or give me a new one.
