The Lenova ThinkPad Edge 531 6885-2BU 15.6" Notebook Computer takes the no-nonsense, business-oriented side of Lenovo ThinkPad notebooks and adds a touch of personality for customer-facing roles in small- to medium-sized businesses. The result is a slimmed down 15.6" notebook computer that weighs just 5.4 pounds. This Lenovo notebook is also wrapped in a refined, soft matte coating, reinforced with sturdy metal hinges and a black finish.
The 15.6" widescreen display utilizes LED backlight technology for lower power consumption and better energy efficiency. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1366 x 768 native resolution powered by integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000. You can also output video to a larger external display via the HDMI port.
The system is powered by a dual-core 3rd generation Ivy Bridge 2.6GHz Intel Core i5-3230M processor. It also has 4GB of 1600MHz DDR3 RAM, a 500GB 7200rpm hard drive, a SuperMulti DVD burner, a 4-in-1 media card reader, 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, an integrated webcam and microphone. There are also built-in Dolby Advanced Audio v2 certified stereo speakers. Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) is the installed operating system (Upgradable to Windows 8 Pro).
