Lee Filters 77 W/A Adapter Ring: Picture 1 regular $65.00

About Lee Filters 77 W/A Adapter Ring

Adaptor rings fit into the lens to accommodate the filter holder. Once the adaptor is in place the filter holder clips firmly to it using a smooth, quick-release, spring-loaded mechanism.

Sturdily constructed with an aluminum screw thread, the adaptors are available in both standard and wide-angle configurations. Special sizes can be made to order.

The wide-angle adaptors are designed so that the filter is placed as close as possible to the front element of the camera lens, and should be used to prevent vignetting with wide angle lenses.

Lee Quality!

Following the typical smooth transaction with Adorama's sales team, I purchased and received the Lee 77mm wide adapter ring. In a word, perfect! Top material and construction coupled with precise dimensions (a perfect fit on my Nikon 24mm f/1.4G, also purchased through Adorama) and I couldn't be happier! Just buy it, and do so through Adorama!

too expensive

I wanted to give this three stars but that would be unfair. The truth is it does what it is supposed to do, it is just way too expensive.

Lee 77mm W/A adapter ring

Great - I can finally us my Lee filters with my 77mm lenses. I am a landscape photographer and hand holding filters is difficult. This adapter ring saves the day

Works as advertised

By

from San Francisco, CA  -  Photo Enthusiast

The adapter works as advertised without causing vignetting on wide angle lenses. Doesn't work well if a circular filter is used before the Lee kit but that isn't surprising on a wide lens.

Wonderful

By

from Union City, CA

The quality of this adapter is very nice. Really smooth while screw onto the Lee's filter hood. The only reason I did not give five start is because this ring is a bit over priced.

A great part of a great system

By

The Lee Filter system is one of the most useful additions to a photographer's arsenal. Part of the kit you need is an adapter ring, to fit each filter mount size in your lens collection. This is one such adapter ring.

Nice product

It cost more then some but it out performs all of them. If you're planning on using a wide angle lens with your filters then this is a must. It eliminates the worry if vignetting.

Could work with B+W XS-Pro polarizer

By

from Denver, CO  -  Photo Enthusiast

Ok. This may not be in the rule book, but I put this on my Canon EF-S 10-22 AFTER I put on a B+W XS-Pro thin mount polarizer. The XS-Pro is a thin mount with screw threads on the outside. Some will say at least one of two things: 1) don't use a polarizer on such a wide angle lens and 2) the whole point of a wide angle adapter is the eliminate vignetting, so I would run that risk. I would say both would be fair criticism. Technically it works, but whether this is a good idea is still open. I have to do more testing before I know for sure. At any rate, if you use this adapter as intended (without a thin filter ahead of it), I think you will find it will works quite well with the 10-22. Others have verified that. So you should buy this along with the Lee Foundation Kit Filter Holder.

Does What it Says

No vignette on Tokina 11-16mm at 11mm. Enough said. But with the brand it is a little expensive. But you do get what you pay for.

Works with my 10-22mm wide angle lens

By

from Perrysburg, OH  -  Tech Savvy

Fits well on all my 77mm lenses. I have not seen any problems even at 10mm on my Canon 10-22mm lens. These (and the Lee Foundation kit) can be hard to find, so I was very pleased to get it.
