Indispensable, it's with me always
I use this with a video camera, an old Canon G2 used for for time lapse under various lighting conditions and a Canon 40D which has been modified for astrophotography. The ClearWhite filter is invaluable with the modded 40D, which requires white balance adjustment for all but astro photography. Top notch professional results
I shoot landscape stock photographs and nature details mostly but I have also done a fair amount of portrait work. I learned about the clearwhite filter in magazines so I thought I'd try it. This filter gives top notch white balance accuracy and is way less expensive than the other filters out there. My friend owns a more expensive filter but this clear white seems to give as good or better results. I would easily recommend this to anyone, even a beginner.

ClearWhite filters are hand-crafted from extremely durable, impact-resistant satin-surface acrylic and are individually dyed and calibrated for use in any lighting condition, even tricky indoor lighting. Extremely easy to use, they are simply held up in front of your lens and pointed at the predominant light source when setting your camera's custom white balance. The included instruction booklet details other uses as well. Every ClearWhite filter comes with a premium quality soft fabric bag with Velcro closure flap.
Other methods used to obtain custom white balance are too cumbersome, too expensive, or highly inaccurate and can be off by as much as 1,000 K or more! Tests comparing the ClearWhite filter to other white balance methods show the ClearWhite is the winner with more neutral color balance (cleaner, more accurate and vibrant colors) in nearly all lighting conditions.
Now included in every ClearWhite System is the new ClearWhite neutral gray card. These superior quality, durable precision cards are custom made and guaranteed to be within very tight color tolerances to a known standard. Every card is calibrated to an approximate reflection value of 18% gray, similar to Kodak neutral gray cards. These cards can be used for accurate white balance and exposure in all kinds of photography - landscape, interior, portrait, product, etc. Because these cards have a very dull surface compared to many other gray cards, placing them at a specific angle to avoid error-causing reflections is no longer a major concern. These cards are also ideal for print comparison purposes, representing a Zone V middle gray value without color bias. Now in a very convenient size, 4" x 6", which will fit most standard filter pouches
