Good Product!

This is a great product that provides what I needed at a very reasonable cost. Since I use a lens hood, this type of cap doesn't require that I remove the hood every time I want to remove or put the cap on. In addition it has a cord that can be attached to the camera so it doesn't get lost (like my last one!). Plus, Adorama shipped it quickly. Great product and great company equals a great combination.

Perfect

Great replacement cap. No need to pay for the Canon or Nikon version.

Excellent but do check for sharp edges .

These lens caps are a welcome alternative, especially for Canon users (Canon does not supply the pinch type caps). Canon caps cannot be easily applied or removed with a lens hood in place while the Adorama pinch type caps can. However, I've found two issues with the Adorama caps. One is the large protruding squeeze handles. They extend outward beyond the circumference of the rest of the cap and so the cap is easily dislodged when these are bumped. For instance the cap hitting the side of a bag as you insert the camera and lens into the bag can dislodge the cap and in the case of a holster, leave the lens sitting face down on the loose cap. With most lenses this leaves the front lens element potentially resting on an edge of the loose lens cap and being abraded as the bag shakes a bit as you walk or hike the bag rides in a car. I've not had a front lens element damaged that I know of, but found the lens cap laying loose in the bottom of the bag multiple times until I learned to insert the camera and lens into the bag VERY carefully. I do not have enough experience with other pinch type lens caps to say this is a problem only with the Adorama brand caps so have not deducted a start for it. This problem is potentially exacerbated by sharp edges on the back of the lens cap. On one of my caps I found sharp edges at each end of the two threaded areas of the pinch pieces. The ends of the truncated threads and a little piece beyond the four ends of the threads were razor sharp even though they are plastic. These can easily contact the front lens element in the situation noted above as well as when you reach into a narrow lens hood to put the lens cap in place. The problem area is easily identified by sliding a finger over the ends of threads. Though only one of my caps had very sharp edges, I've scraped or sanded these areas on all of my lens caps until they are very smooth to the touch. Only one had very sharp edges, but I touched up all of them to be sure. Given the modest price and otherwise good functionality of these lens caps, I'm well satisfied with them. However, I do suggest you be aware of the above.

Fits Nikon D5100 Lens

Fits my Nikon D5100 lenses just fine. Seems durable enough, although I haven't used it too much yet. Comes with a string you can loop through the lens cap to attach it to your camera.

perfect fit for m4/3 olympus 12-50mm

The lens cap fits my m4/3 Olympus 12-50mm lens perfectly. But I'm not sure how the string and plastic nub are supposed to work. Better to attach to the lens or the camera body lugs?

Just Like Factory

I seem to always misplace the caps for each lens so I keep a few backups. Great price and saves me a lot of heartache.

Great Product quality

It was great for the price. The only trouble I had was fitting it in with hood on. But it serves the purpose.

Only thing missing is the letters

Got this to replace a 52mm Nikkor lens cap. Virtually indistinguishable from the real thing, except this one is missing the white "Nikon" on the front. Does what it's supposed to do for less!

Works!

Lost the original Nikon 52mm lens cap...this replaces it well and then more...Gave it 4 stars as threading the cord was a minor event.

When it Camembert I was impressed with product

I needed to replace a lens cap, and thought the price difference was worth trying the item. When it came, I was impressed with the product, and I am glad I took a chance.

Keep it whithin reach

It works good at keeping the lens cap within reach, no more loosing the cap or looking for it in your pocket. I glued a small super magnet to the front of the cap, I can atach it to a metal part in the camera, like the tripod socket or a a metal clip on the camera strap.

Excellent Lens Cap Replacement

This is an excelelnt replacement lens cap. The quality is as good as the Nikon lens cap I lost. It's sturdy and functions as well as the Nikon lens cap. Just as good for half the price.

About Adorama CC52 52mm Center Pinch Lens Cap

This cap features a front pinch style lens attachment, that does not protrude beyond the cap's diameter, rather than the snap-on outside grip style. The center pinch type is therefore much easier to attach and detach when a lens hood is mounted.
