These lens caps are a welcome alternative, especially for Canon users (Canon does not supply the pinch type caps). Canon caps cannot be easily applied or removed with a lens hood in place while the Adorama pinch type caps can. However, I've found two issues with the Adorama caps. One is the large protruding squeeze handles. They extend outward beyond the circumference of the cap itself and the cap is easily dislodged when these are bumped. For instance the cap hitting the side of a bag as you insert the camera and lens into the bag can dislodge the cap and in the case of a holster, leave the lens sitting face down on the loose cap. With most lenses this leaves the front lens element potentially resting on an edge of the loose lens cap and being abraded as the bag shakes a bit as you walk or hike the bag rides in a car. I've not had a front lens element damaged that I know of, but found the lens cap laying loose in the bottom of the bag multiple times until I learned to insert the camera and lens into the bag VERY carefully. This problem is exacerbated by four very sharp edges on the back of the lens cap; at each end of the two threaded areas of the pinch pieces. The ends of the truncated threads and a little piece beyond the four ends of the threads are razor sharp even though they are plastic. The problem area is easily identified by sliding a finger over the ends of threads. These can easily contact the front lens element in the situation noted above as well as when you reach into a narrow lens hood to put the lens cap in place. I've scraped or sanded these areas on all of my lens caps until they are smooth to the touch. Still, given the modest price and otherwise good functionality of these lens caps, I'm satisfied with them.

I have these lens caps on all of my lenses. I am happy with them, and they are an improvement over the Canon lens caps. But, they do have one irritating issue that could lead to lens damage. The Canon lens caps do not come off easily unless you place your fingers on one or both of the two small "buttons" on the perimeter. Hence they do not come off the lens when the camera is in a bag. These lens caps on the other hand have a broad expanse of the rim where pressure will release the lens cap. Occasionally I bring my camera out of one of my bags with the lens cap being off and still in the bag. Just bumping the side of the bag as you stow the camera can dislodge the lens cap. Particularly for a holster the front lens element could be damaged from the weight of the camera and lens bearing on a lens cap that is loose in the bottom of the bag. I think the wide area on the rim where you can push to release the lens cap is meant to make it easy to remove. However, I'd rather have a lens cap that is removed only by pinching the release mechanism near the center of the lens.

Great lens cap. I replaced the lanyard with one of my own though because it is very lightweight and I was concerned about how durable it would be. Overall a good value.

I bought two of these as an alternative to Canon's 58mm caps since I couldn't remove them with lens hoods on. They work like a lens cap should. Feels durable and the center pinch is great. The center pinch, however, recedes too much when pinched fully, which makes it slide around on the lens a bit. To make it much easier, only pinch it enough to slip down and "click". I can't speak for the lanyard as I threw it away without trying to use it. I don't need it, but it did seem frail.

Didn't really figure out how to properly attach it to the lens barrel.

Not much to discuss. It's a lens cap. But a very nice lens cap. I usually keep my lens hood in place at all times and this center pinch design really makes removal and installation of the lens cap easy. They fit very nice and are well built. And they are very nicely priced. I've bought one for every lens I own.

This lens cap fit the Canon Rebel xsi perfectly and the cord attached easily.

Center grip is ok. But you must check it to make sure it is fitted well to the lens.

I cant use because the line is too short. No prob installing the line with toothpick. I may make a longer line out of thick thread to go around my 55-250 with lens hood.

Best lens cover I've had for my cannon S5i. I have it on lens extension with a uv filter to protect the lens. The original one broke and came off so easily.

This cap features a front pinch style lens attachment, that does not protrude beyond the cap's diameter, rather than the snap-on outside grip style. The center pinch type is therefore much easier to attach and detach when a lens hood is mounted.
