I found the pinch tabs to be kind of shallow, and difficult to use. I tried the Cannon version and am much happier with it.

It's a lens cap. Not much can be said, other than just "it works." And it does. Center pinch-type style is nice when you have a lens hood attached. Got this for a used Nikon lens that didn't come with a cap, and it's been great. Saved some money off the Nikon version.

This cap works great, just as reliable as a Nikon cap. I don't doubt at any time that the cap isn't in place as it should be. Center-pinch system works very well.

The string was not attached to the lens cap when delivered. I have tried numerous times to get the string through the too small hole to attach it to the cap but can't get it to work. Very frustrating!

I took the brand new cap out of the camera bag, played with it a bit, click it a few times and one of the clip broke! The screw went flying somewhere in the grass and that's the end of my cap. Not worth the money nor time.

If this isn't the exact same cap as the Nikon branded version, it is close enough. It's 1/3 the cost, doesn't have the Nikon logo, and is drilled to accept a lanyard. Note: If you want to use the lanyard (I don't), you'll need to fish through a smaller thread to pull through the included string.

The lens cap works like the Nikon one, and the best thing about it was that it was cheaper than the Nikon lens cap. I had problems with the string attachment to the lens cap like others reported, so I'm not going to use it.

I needed a backup lens cap for My Pentax lens. This cap is just as good as the original and it cost much less.

Comes with the string, but I had to thread it through myself. Slightly tricky, but I was able to thread it on exactly like the picture. I received this by accident - meant to order a different lens cap. But it seems fine. Hopefully the string will keep me from losing the cap like I frequently do.

Flimpsy cap. The product shown in the picture is misleading because the string that comes with it CANNOT attach to the cap. There is no hole for you to thread it through. Well, technically there is a hole of sorts, but it does not go all the way through. Avoid this.
