Not what I thought it was
I had expected a device that had a male 52mm thread and would screw into the end of a lens or filter. Instead, it has a female 52mm thread. So if you have an item with a male 52mm thread that needs protecting this is what you want. If you want to cap a lens that has a 52mm female thread on the front of it, look elsewhere.

Well made, nicely priced, won't pop off!
I have lost numerous clip on caps while hiking and rock scrambling. The screw on cap stays put and is reliable protection. Yes, it's a bit slower to get on & off, but it doesn't get knocked off!
