This is made of thin lightweight plastic that will likely snap as soon as you accidentally bump it against something. Cheap castings. Lock ring was molded crooked so it binds when you turn it. I'll will use this until it breaks and then spend the extra money to get a good one.

The hood has to be positioned just right or you see part of the hood in your shots

The hoods themselves are strong and durable, but the lock ring is very sloppy. Not enough binding or strength to actually lock hood in desired position, so if you use and rotating filter, such as polarizer, you will constantly be readjusting the hood.

A well-designed addition to the accessory bag

Build quality is excellent. I'd prefer the little window for turning polarizer filters that some lens hoods have, and the ability to reverse it to save space. apart from that, it is excellent. You will want to remove it for flash photography as it will cast a shadow.

This is the screw on type, so make sure you want this type before ordering. Overall, fine product and great price!

This rotating lens hood is designed for digital cameras with either built-in or interchangeable zoom lenses. The hood protects against stray light reflection hitting the surface of the lens, and at the same time will not vignette the corners when using the wide angle feature of the lens
