We had a router/modem hooked up to TV by ethernet, worked great. We had to bring the router up to the office. The LG WiFi USB adapter brings a wireless internet signal to the TV and it works pretty good for Netflix but MLB Baseball freezes alot and switching to the visitor's broadcast rarely works, it usually kicks you off. We have COX High Speed internet so can't blame it on the internet speed.

Wasted 90 minutes today at a customer site attempting to figure out why his LG smart TV kept claiming it couldn't connect through our network because the "DNS wasn't working properly," or when it did, why it would stall attempting to load services such as Netflix or Hulu. Finally determined that the adapter was fine handling unencrypted or WEP signals from the customer's router, but when presented with a WPA2-PSK/AES connection it apparently didn't have the computational chops to keep up, and instead flung blame all over everything else. Unit documentation claims it will handle "64/128 bit WEP, WPA, WPA2, TKIP, AES, WPS (PIN, PBC," but this one sure didn't.

Easy installation and internet connection. The problem I'm having is with the TV its self. Apparently I need a software update from LG, 08.03.07 according to LG support, but I am getting 05.03.07. I've talked to 5 different people at LG and gotten only promises which are unfulfilled. Almost every time the TV is turned on with the dongle installed it tries to the update but is unsuccessful. I can not get any streamed programming at this time.

Easy enough,plug it in your usb #1 port.From day one I kept getting disconnnected from the internet.Called customer service,they had me unplug it for 30 seconds and it work for a day or two.Kept losing contact,made a sevice call appt.Then the night before I moved the router about 10 feet from the tv and work fine.Tv guy called and said the dongle isnt the best wi fi adaptor way to go.My Sony tv is built in,no problems there.

Item was so easy. I never had an install go as easy as this. Started with an upgrade 1st to TV and went right to application after that. Netflix was like any other app. on internet. So easy monkey can install with 1 touch button!!!! Sorry for guys who had sooo much trouble with their set-up :{(

This product allows selected LG TVs to access some very useful and well integrated Net apps (called Netcast Entertainment): youtube, netflix, picasa, weather, news, etc. All the more reason for LG to include this product in the package when you buy one of the above mentioned TVs, instead of selling it separately.

I purchased this adaptor and love it. Hooked in the adaptor to the LG 42LE5400 and was connected to the wireless network in a jiffy. Easy to setup and works great. No issues with connectivity or streaming issues.

I purchased this to connect an LG 32LE5400 LED-LCD TV to my router. LG designed it to plug in and work. There is no configuration required to connect it to the TV, simply plug it into a USB port on the back of the set. I have an older bg router, with WEP enabled. Entering the 26 hex digits for the WEP into the TV using the remote took a few minutes. But the set (or maybe the WiFi dongle) remembers the WEP key when you power cycle, so this is a one-time annoyance (entering the key). The TV did a software upgrade through the WiFi connection without a problem. And I watched some Netflix videos without any glitches. Before purchasing this, I tried using a PC USB port WiFi dongle. The LG 32LE5400 did not recognize it. So I suggest not wasting time and money (as I did) trying to get a cheaper WiFi device.

This adapter is quick and easy to setup and works great. it is nice to have less wires and enabling all the functions the TV is capable of doing.

Got the wireless USB adapter as part of a package deal with my TV purchase (47LE5400). It was very simple to connect to my home network. My wireless router is in the living room, about 25-30 feet from the bedroom location of the TV. The TV had no problem "seeing" the router and signal strength is good. Internet enabled content (via Yahoo Widgets and YouTube) is delivered quickly to the TV. Haven't tried the NetFlix or Vudu yet so don't know about how well movies will download.
