This player totally died on me a couple months ago so I really only had it for a little over two years. We very seldom used it and I think I only played one Blu-ray DVD on it over all that time. It seemed fine and then all of a sudden it was buzzing and the picture was constantly flickering and it would never recover. We went back to using a much older combination unit that plays both VHS and DVDs and still works great. I guess you get what you pay for as I got the LG DVD player free with my new TV.

This product was the exchanged for player after my initial one burned up upon plug in! I have had it since August 2011, so approximately 18 months. Last night it died!!!! I will be returning it for an exchange as I did purchase a 4yr warranty for my TV and this player. I guess I would be out of luck without this very expensive warranty and certainly expect players to last longer than 18 months!!! I had been satisfied with the product until time of death.

I wanted Smart TV but did not want to pay the premium price for a TV. I added the BD650 to my basic LED set and had Smart TV for a bargain price. I connected it to my router with an ethernet cable and was up and running watching the various apps in less than a half hour. Just make sure to update the unit when you set it up to get the most out of the product. It was easy. I just followed the supplied instructions. Excellent Blu Ray picture quality with easy control options. Again, be sure to update the unit. I believe some negative reviews are from folks that did not have it connected to a router and did not update the software.

This BluRay player is one of only a few on the market that supports subtitles for streaming Netflix, which is why I bought it in the first place. But I was also pleased to discover that it had numerous other apps that I use a lot, including Pandora, vTuner (thousands of radio stations world-wide), DivXTV a station with many free on-demand educational programs, including a Photoshop series that is exceptionally good. There is also an app for Android to replace the remote control. The only way I would improve both the included remote and the app is to add an alphabetic keyboard, which would be useful for searching for titles on Netflix and other apps.

Great DVD player. Best thing about buying this was Adorama and the speed in which they sent it. Adorama is very professional and I would never hesitate in buying other items from this company.

good product. I was disappointed to discover that WIFI ready means you have to spend another $50 to make it work wirelessly.

Great when teamed with LG TV. Automatically recognized on power up. Internet capable (wired with apps. Comes with Nero media sharing software. I had to add a wireless bridge because I did not have a wired port in the room. Works great.

I use this product to watch 3D or regular DVDs or stream them online with the SmartTV technolgoy through Netflix and hulu. It's a great DVD player with an easy navigation menu. The only problem I have with it is that the remote looks similar to my LG5600 :)

I got this product about a month ago. I love it. It was easy to set up and with the LG application on my Android it definitely makes it fun. I love all the applications you can use on it. Netflix, Amazon are both great and I love the high quality picture it gives. Even though I bought a LG TV less than a year ago I am going to have to go buy a new LG 3D TV to go with my new player!!

The LG 47LW6500 hdtv does indeed convert ANY 2d input into 3D! I have watched media from sources by antenna, non 3D blu-ray player, computer, and hd cable and they all look better in 3D. This LG has an energy guide sticker on it that states it will use $13 a year (in 2d mode). The picture is exceptional, the best I've owned. I had one hdtv plasma and three lcd hdtv's and this not only uses the least amount of power but it is the largest and has the best picture and sound. I wish I could have afforded a bigger model of the LG LW 3D series. But I am extremely happy with this one and it is a keeper. The LG LW 3D series models are all sold out locally and I bought mine online, sight unseen, from Amazon and am glad I did. Still, all my friends are envious when I tell them how good viewing the NFL in 3D is.

I recently purchased a LG 55 LW 5600 3D TV and the LG BD 650 3D Blu-Ray player. I was only expecting the best from my LG products and they have both delivered. I bought some 3D movies and it looks FANTASTIC! The set up was easy and the clarity of the LED TV makes watching TV or movies fun. I would recommend this to other people.

i purchased this dvd player at the same time as my first flat screen tv. when i got home and turned them on ( it was really that easy just set them up and turn them on) i did not have any blu-ray movies just some older titles, but the picture quality was great. my neighbors thought i purchased new movies and i said no just a lg tv and a lg blu-ray player. now my home is the place to watch the best picture in the neighborhood.
