We are using this tv in our living room and it is gorgeous! The 3d from things like 3d bluray discs is phenominal, the converting 2d-3d is pretty good too (don't have too high of expectations for the converting and you'll be pleased with it.) The internet ready features are also excpetional. Not only can you stream from online services like Netflix and Amazon VOD, but you can stream videos smoothly from your home PC over your home wifi. The regular remote and menus are very well set up, I didn't like the magic motion remote at first but have grown fond of it. For those who dislike the web browser because it is difficult to type with the remote, there is an app on the android market called "lg tv remote" that lets you use your phone to control the tv and your phone's keyboard to type in websites in the web browser. It is great. I really have nothing negative to say about this TV; the sound isn't great but what tv ever came with built in great sound?

This TV really needs a surround sound system to improve overall quality to top notch, but there is nothing that compares to its picture, 2D or 3D. The glasses are extremely light and minimal size. I have seen the competition and liked this one a lot better due to the picture quality, options, and overall value in comparison to the competition.

I wrote a review previously that I don't see posted here, so I'll try to add it again. This replaced a 31" JVC analog tv that still worked fine, but I wanted a new one. After my usual obsessing over many reviews of many tv's I settled on this as the best for my needs, and the price was something I couldn't pass up. It was easy to set up, has a great picture, and I haven't found anything bad about it yet. Even the simulated 2D - 3D is nice (though, of course, not as vivid as the active 3D sets. The use of the less expensive and more comfortable glasses, though, compensates for that.) You won't regret buying this set.

The picture on the TV is remarkable. I've watched several movies where the sharpness/resolution of the screen made it seem like I was watching the movies for the first time.

I like this TV, the picture is good and ez to setup. I m sure you can find all type of Pros on the web so I am going to skip. The Cons are,#1. I m using it as PC monitor (connected to HDMI port), and the mouse cursor delay a lot. Very annoying. I have another 32" LG and doesn't has that issue.#2. (As PC Monitor) Not all Content fit when I m in highest resolution. No Auto Tuning to adjust #3. Unit did stuck once during software update & LG has frequent update#4. 3D experience - I didn't actually play any 3D movie but watched those built-in demo 3D clips. It's terrible/impossible to focus ANY close up content (people walk in front of the camera, close object), made everybody (3 tester) dizzy. My last review gave it 5 stars, but the "laggy cursor" knocked 2 stats off. If I know that issue I probably wouldn't buy it, but it's an awesome TV.

I have now owned my LG 47LW6500 for just over one month and love the set. I compared all the features with several other similar TV's and after seeing that Consumer Reports rated this TV #1 I dedided this is the one I wanted. I have not been disappointed. I now have it coupled to a Sony BDP-S780 3D Blu-ray DVD player which also received high ratings from CR, and this is certainly a winning combination. And best of all, the price was well below the competition. I would caution that the passive 3D is awesome but not as spectacular as the Sony active version. However, the 3D glasses are much more comfortable and cost but a fraction of the cost of active glasses. As yet, I have not found anything I don't like about this LG TV.

TV looks great and you will blow everyone away with the picture! There's not much else you can say. The only gripe against this tv is that the only tv sound ouput is an optical output. Therefore no more red and white audio cables. But oh well, I guess that's how you move forward.
