I had a good tv for @6 months. The picture disappeared. I called for service. Tech showed up a week later and said LG would contact me within 3 days. It has been a full week of silence.

This television was an upgrade for a 6 year old television. The picture quality is fantastic. There is a learning curve on navigating the remote. So many features.

We have had this to for a month and so far it is fine. We had to get this tv because our previous LG 55 inch over the past year began to show blue spots on the screen. All this after the warranty expired. Hopefully this tv will not do the same

This was a great upgrade for a young television (different brand) that just up and died. (RIP) The picture screen is fabulous! I am having a bit of a learning curve with some of the new tech but I'm enjoying the features and quality. Easy to walk through the set-up.

I love the TV. However after a month I find the "Magic Wand" remote a gimmick. I have Direct TV and I was wishing the LG remote would replace my Direct TV remote. However, I find that for convenience I need both remotes. The initial setup was easy. Learning to use the features is difficult. There is no paper manual, not unusual these days, but it would be nice to give a list of websites that would help in learning how to use the remote.

I bought this TV a couple of weeks ago, and overall I'm very happy with it. However, there are a few features about the remote that I am not very happy with. First, I have found that customizing the guide to be very difficult. In order to switch channels in one step, I find that I have to go back to my dish remote. Otherwise, I have to resort to a number of steps. Secondly, the pause feature for videos or movies on premium channels only holds for a few minutes, then defaults back to the last channel watched. Finally, the mute feature stays on mute for a short time then reverts to mute off. In short, the remote is very user unfriendly.

I have been very happy with this TV - the picture and sound are great and it works well with the Firestick and Tivo I have attached. I have also attached my computer to play some online shows and classes and this worked seamlessly. I like the art gallery feature, but wish it was possible to hold the pictures on screen for longer.

The TV performs as expected, but does lack some features in problem diagnosis with other vendors. It would be really good if we could tell it to test download speed for an app or for the wireless modem connection to help in problem determination.

Picture quality is outstanding, contrast is unbelieveable. Watching 3D blue ray discs is an adventure. Found this product for a "reasonable " price on ebay. The wall mount which comes with the TV works very well and is easy to install. Since the sound in my installation comes from a 6 channel HiFi set-up, I don't use the Canvas Speaker Frame at this time. I wish LG would have had a regular flat panel OLED TV in their product line-up. OLED is the way to go if you want uncompromized picture quality!!!

I recently purchased the 55EA8800 for my home entertainment system. This unit has absolutely the best image I have ever seen. I'm ruined for watching content on any other type of screen. The sound quality from the Gallery Speaker is also so clear and powerful, no additional equipment is necessary to enjoy the full viewing experience. I have not tried the 3D features yet, but cannot imagine being disappointed. Thank you LG for making such a wonderful item available to the public.
