LG 55L W5300

We bought this TV in December and from the moment we turned it on I was wowed by the quality of the picture, especially those in HD. The audio is another matter. It sounded very tinny when we first turned it on so I adjusted the audio which did little to nothing. Then it started buzzing, which has continued to this day. Very, very annoying. I would recommend this set to friends but warn them that they may have to purchase a good soundbar, etc.

Perfect TV for a wall mount application

Perfect TV for my house. I wanted to place a new TV on a certain wall in my house but in doing that it would cause me to have some seriously long HDMI cables! It's hard to explain here why but I began by checking prices for 30ft plus long cables and found the term wireless HD TV on a website. That peeked my interest obviously and I began researching. I figured it was too good to be true and didn't work as good as advertised. I read several positive reviews and decided to give it a shot. Glad I did! The ease of hooking up the cables to the media box along with the TV's feature of instantly searching for the wireless feed every time it's turned on makes it so easy you forget its wireless. (Except when you look at the TV on the wall and you don't see a bunch of wires hanging below it. You do have to have a power cable obviously but if you place the outlet behind the TV you don't even see that cable! It's just looks like a big picture hanging on the wall! My media box is only a few feet from the TV (I know I mentioned needing a 30 plus ft cable and I would have its just hard to explain the layout of the room/wall I'm talking about) and I normally have 3 bars on the wireless meter. I have it in a small cabinet with it facing away from the TV. If you were able to project the signal directly to the TV (line of site) I can get full strength (5 bars). That would require me to turn the media box around thus displaying the back of the unit and I didn't want that to be visible. Nevertheless I've never lost signal but I have noticed a few lines that will occasionally appear on the TV when my kids are jumping around in front of the cabinet in our living room. Nothing that drastic and since it's only happens occasionally I don't mind it. Overall a great find and I couldn't be happier.

Amazing Picture Quality

I've dabbled in LCD TV's for years now. Staying on the lower end of the technology using lower tier brands has always bothered me. I recently made this LED purchase and upgraded to DISH Networks VIP 922 system. The picture quality produced is unmatched, and I finally have the theatre system I've been looking for. DISH network, whom I work for, allows me to program the remotes seamlessly.

My Ultimate TV now Found!

Have purchased Sharpes. Sonys, Samsungs, and yes, even LGs, and was left wanting! Hearing that the Matte Screen TVs were becoming History, quickly purchased one of the few remaining 55LHXs: sight unseen! Just went by specs. Right out of the Box - My Ulimate TV was finally found! No Highly Reflective Screen, no Thin LED compromises, and the Blacks are Black. To this point, my 55LH90's I thought were Black. Next to the 55LHX, they're kinda Milky Black. The 55LHX is in, the 55LH90s have been deligated to the wife. I can't see wanting another set until the OLEDs come out! A touch of the Picture Wizard calibration, set Gamma to High and White Balance to Medium and voila - the unbelievable PQ of current times. (After Note: can't keep the wife off it! Have to keep sending her out of the room to her own set!) Sound - don't use TV speakers - have AVR surround sound.

Last of the Great Matte Screen TVs

The best Matte Screen ever! Gone through various brands including LG, trying to find the Ultimate Viewing Experience! My quest is over! The 55LHX PQ right out of the box is over whelming. Using Picture Wizard to Fine Tune the set was the Icing on the Cake. This bumped my 55LH90s down to second place. (But they're still great TV sets, it's just that the 55LHX is Greater!) Why LG discontinued this set I'll never know, but I'm sure glad I got one of the Few Remaining sets still available! The lowest I'd go with the BL on the 55LH90s was 30, but the 55LHX is now down to 20, it was that bright!

Last of the Great Matte Screen TVs

Never listen to TV speakers. Always use Surround Sound AVR. I've purchased various brands including LG over the last several years trying to find the Ultimate Viewing Experience - finally, no more looking! Great looking PQ straight out of the box - a little Picture Wizard to fine tune the settings - and Voila - one hell of a TV.

Unreal colors

We carefully and thoroughly researched all sets available. We even made a special trip to the mainland to preview them. Without question, the 55LHX has the brightest colors and blackest black of any LED set. My wife and I conducted side-by-side comparisons and consistently selected the LG. This set is mounted in the bedroom and is truly over-the-top. We could NOT be happier.

Excellent Monitor

The 55LHX is an excellent monitor. The video quality is unmatched by any LCD/LED TV I looked at. The audio system has below average performance but a surround sound system will fix this issue. The wireless features are great. However there is connection interference when you walk between the receiver and the TV. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.

Great TV

Our previous tv went out and boy I sure am glad! This tv has a beautiful picture, especially on the HD channels. Its easy to use and hooking it up to the cable box and entertainment center was a simple process, took all of maybe 10 minutes. I recommended this tv to our neighbor since he too was looking for a tv!

Great Tv ever released in Market

This TV is Beautiful. It has deep colors and superior picture. The movies shown on this TV from my PS3 are just phenomenal! The 240Hz make the picture sharp during fast motion. The blacks are deep and true, not grey. Bottom line is this TV is georgeous!
