Pros High quality of monitor, big screen, easy to control, looking good feature and LG brand name Cons 1. Poor remote receiver and touch buttons on the panel - There is big gap between front panel near touch button and screen. The dust inside of TV which came from the gap might cause remote and touch buttons to stop working. When I blew dust away with air can or my mouth from this gap, it worked but not all the times. 2. Dongle is useless - I paid extra money for "dongle" wifi usb in order to watch movies by using wireless network (100M/bps). But it is too slow to watch movies kept in my desktop and doesn't support many video formats. 3. Fairly smart TV but not even close - I could see YouTube contents but that's it. Optionally, uncomfortable controller.

we bought this tv because our other one was busted with a wii remote. this is the best tv i have ever seen. the kids love watching movies in 3-d and cant wait until most things are brodcast in 3-d

I had a old box big screen handed down to me called Goliath. I looked at a lot of television brands and decided to go with LG. I got the television at an unbeatable price for 1499 including a 3D Bluray player and 4 pair of glasses 1 year ago. Its never let me down and its great to entertain guest with the 3D experience. I was skeptical about quality because of the price but a year later its never let me down. I am an LG customer for life...

Great picture, easy to use menu. 3d picture is great, but the apps only worked right for a while. The second firmware update would not take and due to this the apps would no longer function. If the apps would continue to work even without update my review would be all five stars. I am still working with LG to fix this issue.

I'll start by saying out of the 6 TVs I have purchased over the years, this is by far the best TV I have purchased! The picture is outstanding and the amount of customization with the features given to you is quite fantastic. The 3D is really good, except I personally have experienced a decent amount of crosstalk while viewing 3D content. I'm not sure if everyone has this problem, but it can be a little frustrating at times. If 3D is not an issue for you, then I 100% recommend this TV for you! If not, than you may look into a Passive 3D TV.

This is our second lg tv. We bought the first one which is a 32 inch and our first hdtv. We were considering a bigger one to replace a home entertainment center when we found this. I wasn't really interested in 3d but the price was so good I couldn't turn it down. I am so glad I decided to do this. This television is incredible and watching 3d on a 55 inch screen is unbelievable. Couldn't be happier with both tvs. My family loves to come over just to watch the 3d. SUPER PRODUCTS.

We have owned other LG products and have always been happy with design and function. We purchased the 55LX6500 last November and are very happy with the quality of the picture and the many features, especially HD and 3D. Friends and neighbors who have seen this TV are very impressed with the quality of the picture in comparison to whatever brand they have. We are completely satisfied with our LG TV and accessories.

Best package ever. 3D LED TV,3D Blue Ray, 3D glasses (4). All included in an exceptional price. Picture quality is exceptional. Sound from TV not so good, need an additional sound system. HD on this TV is of excetional quality. Option features on this model are numerous. Some are easy to set, others are somewhat difficult to understand. Wireless features are difficult to understand. The 3D Feature requires a high quality HD cable, and was not included with the TV. 3D TV is great, but hard to find quality 3D movies to watch either from cable network or movie enterprise companies. I would rate this particular model TV a 4.5 out of 5 stars, and if this model was not discontinued I would definately recommend it to all my family and friends, if just for the vibrant colors and picture quality. Definately a step ahead of all ther makes I looked at before deciding on the LG brand.

Netflix app is the one I used the most. Video and sound are just great. Like the YouTube and Picasa app too. The included games are not of any interested to me. Pretty nice that you can bring up weather for your chosen cities.

This TV has a very good picture. It improves the quality of videos recorded on external drives. The NETCAST features are difficult to use without a QWERTY keyboard. After I bought this TV, LG came out with a 3D TV with passive 3D glasses which are much cheaper and less bulky. I wish I would have waited. TV sometimes turns off and on when trying to play and invalid video on an external drive on one of the USB inputs. Remote control also controls my OLEVIA HDTV which is an irritation as I use the TV as a monitor for my computer and watch SATELLITE on the other TV.

Bought as floor model and are truly impressed by the features and picture quality. So glad we were looking that day. Wish there were more choices in the online services section, though. Changing input is a little awkward, but is the only problem I have had with this. Setting up the picture quality is simple, and as soon as we put in the dongle, it went online and updated, giving us more options than before.

Tv is quite inpressive for the price and features at this point in time. 3D is early in the process so will only improve with time. there are a few times blurring and cross talk are issues- but general the view is great even in 3D. Happy to be using the 3D feature and look forward to improvements as they become available as 3D go mainstream. Weakness inthe tv are the occasional 3D issues and not the greatest audio. Strengths are the picture and easy setup of features and internet connection. built in wifi worked great out of the box.

This TV is great in bright lit rooms for 2d picture viewing. However, for 3d this TV currently lacks, "Cross talk" is a huge problem and it is better to wait for another generation of TVs or so if you really want 3d. I upgraded from an old 42 inch LCD on this TV, and the edge lit LEDs on this TV make this thin and wonderful. Black levels and color clarity are a great. Really the only thing lacking from this TV is the 3d working better. If they could reduce the cross-talk of this TV with some more firmware, this would be one of the best purchases of my life. As it stands right now, it's still a good purchase, just don't get your hopes up about the 3d on this TV.

This TV replaced our plasma, which did not like the altitude of our home (8500 ft plus). I researched it thoroughly and finally settled on this model. I THOUGHT, my old plasma was high-def. This LED model blows it away. My old TV was 1080i and I didn't expect that much of an improvement. I was mistaken. The increase in picture quality was instantly noticeable. My son is jealous. His 1080P LCD cannot compare. The non-gloss screen helps cut glare in our bright room tremendously. The color saturation and contrast are great and there is little or no light leakage around the edges. Even the on-board speakers are better than my old plasma. They sounded surprisingly better than expected although we mostly use our home surround receiver for sound. I would not hesitate to recommend this TV to anyone. It was easy to connect and mount. I have not yet even read the instruction files on the included disc. My wish is that it came with the network dongle and at least one set of 3D glasses. I have not used the 3D yet anyway, but the 2D picture is awesome. I am a happy camper!
