Burn in is a major issue. Another one with a permanent Fox News displayed along the bottom of the TV.

I got in early on the OLED panels from LG. This is a great TV for it's time. It still holds up except for certain content where the blacks look really bad. For example, when I watched Game of Thrones and scenes where in dark rooms, the picture was horrible. No matter how many changes I tried to make to the picture quality, it just looked washed out and was nearly unwatchable. It seems the newer panels have fixed this, so I am interested in purchasing a new G1 to see. I also wished that the UI updated to the newer versions of it, but it never did. Loved the TV though

The OLED has a burn in and LG refused to try to correct the issue.

Had this TV for just over 4 years and had noticed the burn in occurring but put it off thinking not much can be done about it. I started doing some research on this problem and heard that there could be a fix for this issue. I talked with the dealer about it and they referred me to contact LG direct. I discussed this with one of you service techs and he tells me that they would have covered this issue if it was less than 4 years. It would have been nice if LG would have let customers know of this potential problem and address it sooner. Is there anyway LG could help me out?

After evaluating three reputable HD TV brands in 2016, we decided to purchase this particular 65 inch unit after release of the 2017 models. We specifically chose an OLED TV because of the outstanding picture quality compared to the technology offered by the other brands. Even tough the audio quality was less than desirable, I didn’t let the flaw deter my decision, all things considered. I recall that this model is one of LG’s first generation OLED TVs. I’m writing this review in 2021, as I feel compelled to do so. First, I was, and still am very impressed with LG OLED TVs after 5 years of experience. Second, I believe that LG’s OLED technology has proven to be a solid source of image reproduction that renders truly amazing and consistent image quality. Lastly, LG’s OLED technology appears to be very reliable. We’ve had zero issues with our 2015, first generation model. The TV still produces outstanding, enjoyable HD images. I should also mention that we purchased a 2018, 55 inch model in 2019 and it is truly awesome as well. Finally, we never get tired of watching our LG OLED TVs. And I am totally confident in saying that LG’s OLED technology is well worth the cost. You won’t be disappointed with buying one.

Bought this TV 4 years 3 months ago. Had a screen burn in issue for a while now so I thought I would contact LG about this. Unbeknown to me they said they would do a one time repair within 4 years. Nice! No information was ever given out that this would be done within this time frame. I know the newer models have a pixel fixer built into them, but my model

Our old LG Oled panel went out after 4 years. We wanted to fix it, but it was cheaper to buy a new tv.

This TV was absolutely awesome and I loved it! Whenever we had guest over they always complimented on how amazing the picture looked. The downfall was after 1.5 years the tv started cutting off half the picture and then getting blurry to the point that you couldn't view the imagine. Purchased an extended protection plan through Best Buy but they technicians aren't certified to fix these TV's so was offered a store credit towards purchasing a newer model.

Great picture quality with this model. Very happy with its color content. Sound quality is adequate though can be improved on clarity of vocals. Not too wild about remote control. Takes awhile to get used to and sometimes mistake pointer button with entry button. Some blurring with fast motion. But bought set to improve overall picture quality though very happy with my previous plasma and found OLED even more satisfying

We are greatly enjoying this television for its 3D/4K, and the blacks made the rendering exveptional. Unfortunately, most of its Smart features are rendered outmoded, by its non-updated OS. Onboard Amazon video and VUDU apps, will not support 4K HDR, despite HDR 10 functionality on the TV; we alternatively run these apps through the X Box One S. Similarly, the WebOS 2.0 Hulu app does not support the expanded Hulu channel base, the same holds true if trying to stream live content from a PLEX-connected device.

This tv is ok, but the calibration process and picture leaves something to be desired. Had a difficult time with the calibration process until I looked it up online...and the picture still isn’t perfect even with the HD 4K player installed.

LG was among the last of the TV manufacturers to support 3-D, ending with the 2016 models. The 65EF9500 was the 2015 OLED model, and the image is stellar in every respect. Having owned nearly every form of in-home 3-D display I can affirm that nothing tops the deep blacks and high detail that OLED offers, especially in UHD. The passive 3-D screen eliminates crosstalk, and the depth and brightness is maintained across the extremely wide field of view; it doesn't seem to matter where one sits in the room. The WebOS 2.0 interface does a great job with the two big streaming services, Netflix and Amazon Prime. However, there is no support for SlingTV or an integrated channel guide that includes the Channel Store Internet feeds. It would be nice to have a firmware upgrade to WebOS 3.0 that equals what is available on the 2016 models, but that seems unlikely on a 3-year-old TV. With the plethora of streaming devices today fussing about the Smart TV features seems like quibbling. The show's the thing, and nothing beats LG's OLED technology for gorgeous 3-D. IF LG would bring back their passive 3-D tech in their new sets there would be no question of which TV brand I would be buying in future.

I’ve had my TV for a little over a year now and couldn’t be happier. The picture quality is superb with high contrast and super clear images. 4K looks amazing. I love the remote as well. I highly recommend an LG OLED.

Bought this 11 months ago and the quality of the picture is not so good anymore. The TV lost all picture then lines started running through the screen vertically. Changed out 4k HDMI thinking that was it. The picture when the screen is dark is not clear and spots all over the TV at this point. Not sure what is up with that. Lines keep coming and going, so gonna call support tomorrow.

Had this TV for four months now and every time I turn it on I get a smile on my face. WOW is right...what a clean crisp picture, great colors and vivid blacks. I really love this set and would spend the money again. You won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful TV- Remote Sucks but I can live with it. However after just one year I have a line down the right hand side of the screen. Out of Warranty no way to repair, a TV like this should have a few years warranty on the screen.

This TV display is stunning with vivid colors and very detailed high quality picture. It is also easy to operate. But beware, if you watch a channel with fixed Logo like CNN or Fox for few hours every day you will have problems with display image retention or even burn in. No, you do not need to watch same channel continuously for 20 hours s day for this to happen. It happens much earlier, and can become irreversible.

Exceptional color and ease of use, great addition to my man-cave; only drawback was the special wall mount that was required. Was not able to purchase a standard wall mount for this TV.

I was looking to replace my Panasonic plasma and every LCD or LED flat panel I looked at just didn't have the great p/q that my plasma had. OLED surpasses my expectations and is an awesome successor to plasma.

I've had the television just over a year. At first it was the most amazing picture I had ever seen, and I was happy I made the large investment. Then after about a year I've noticed vertical bars where it has trouble with blacks/whites (i.e. gray screens. I've adjusted the settings and it's a little better, but I'm seriously regretting spending this much money on a TV that had a great picture for about a year. Called LG and they said it was normal and that nothing could be done.

I've had this TV about a year, I bought it based on multiple reviews (primarily CNET, Consumer Reports) extolling the virtues of its picture. They were right, although it took quite a bit of fiddling to get things set to my liking. My biggest frustration, however, is the "magic" remote. It's not magic, it's a poor attempt to copy a computer mouse by adopting a point-and-click methodology where it is not appropriate. It often won't wake up when needed, but does wake up when jiggled on the table. It is incompatible with any other remotes I have, including my beloved Logitech Harmony One, necessitating that there be a minimum of two remotes nearby. I wish there were some alternative, because the frustration of using the remote detracts mightily from the otherwise stellar performance of the TV. I am starting to see that the problem with the remote is not limited to this particular TV or others with "magic" remotes. Even filling out this survey is an exercise in frustration, as the design of the page does not allow scrolling. The only way to move down in the survey is to make the window tiny enough to fit on the screen. Another poorly executed design by LG.
