Questions & Answers

z y : anywhere for a water bottle?CINDY H : The pocket shown in the picture is wider than a normal water bottle pocket but it is tall enough to use as one. there is no designated one for a water bottle. Hope this helps.BRAXTON D : Yes. That elastic, web pouch on the side is perfect for a water bottle.
Shopper : 1) is there any way to attach a small travel tripod? 2) How weather proof is the bag without a rain cover?LLOYD S : 1. I used velcro to hold a small tri-pod to the outside of the pack. Place the foot of the pod in the net and secure with velcroat the top of the pack. Works pretty good. 2. I have used the pack in rain and in salt spray at sea. Repelled the water nicely. Please note that at no time was the pack soaked .., light rain and salt spray; shipboard and forrest.FORREST C : 1) There are a pair of adjustable straps designed to hold a flap on the lower edge. A small tripod could be carried horizontally if it have a fairly small circumference when closed. 2) I have had no experience with rain, so sorry cannot answer that questionRICHARD G : 1) I carry my tripod on the side quite nicely using a couple of small velco straps that I purchased at a local hardware store. Stays on securely and I've never had a problem. 2) The bag is quite weather resistant even without the cover. Light to moderate rain seems to shed right off and I've never had anything inside get wet. But, the cover is so easy to put on and off I won't hesitate to use it if I get caught out.BIJESH K : 1. No, I'm not able to find a way to attach a travel tripod. 2. It can take a drizzle. But, I doubt it can handle a downpour.
Shopper : what about a tripod? does it have any outside straps for one?ALEXANDER T : Hi, It does not have a tripod holder.ROY M G : There are no external ties on the pack other than the shoulder straps and belt. I still ilk the bag a lot because it has room for my D7000 with it's vertical grip attached plus my large 18-105vr, 70-300vr, 10-24, 50 f/1.8 and 600 strobe in the lower section leaving the top section for all of my other accessories and it has a well protected padded computer compartment for my 15" MacBookPro. I do use the external net pocket to hold my small, 'traveller' carbon fiber tripod but I tie it to the mid section of the pack using a large nylon backpack belt that I bought just of this purpose. The net pocket does stop it from sliding free and the belt keeps it secure. It would be nicer if they'd thought about this and included anchor points to attach it but this does work (at least for the small light cf tripod that I use. With everything, it weighs less than 20 lbs which is my upper limit for relaxed day hikes.RICH J C : Unfortunately there are no straps on the outside for a tripod but one can easily be fitted to one of the sides to accommodate a tripodRYAN R : It doesn't really have a built-in strap for a tripod. It does have a side pocket on the left that you can possibly slide a tripod in and just figure a way to secure the top portion. I haven't really decided how I will do that but I think it's possibly with a little bit of modding.PETER W : There are no outside straps for a securing a tripod, nor are there any loops for improvising your own. I'm sure you could rig something up, but I wouldn't want to do any hardcore hiking or climbing with such a setup. It's a missing feature.DAVID K : As far as I can tell there is no obvious outside strap for a tripod. That being said, maybe someone else is 100% sure.ZAN Y : No, no straps for tripod.YUE Z : I have not found a way to attach even my smallest tripod (except for the table top version, which is indeed already in the bag) to the bag to take with me.KARTHIK I : No It does not. I wish it did. Other than that the bag is really awesome. Would recommend investing money in it.

Lowepro fastpack camera bag

I do a lot of outdoor / indoor Rodeo and equine events, family photography, this bag holds all the gear I need, it’s well padded and compartment that holds camera and lenses keeps everything tightly in place, upper compartment is roomy enough for speed light, extra batteries, snacks ect. This bag has multiple pockets to keep thing organized, laptop slot is very well padded. Wher shooting in an indoor arena it gets very dusty and this bag cleans up nicely. So glad my instructor recommended it to me.

Large Capacity and Well Padded

I love the bad for several reasons. First, Lowepro makes quality bags that are long lasting and built to protect your equipment. The bag is actually larger than I thought, but that is a good thing. There many compartments that hold SCD Cards, filters, cleaners, and on and on. This is of course, in addition to lots of space for lenses, one or two bodies depending on size. Compartments are well padded. I love the bag and highly recommend.

Rugged design, lots of room

I like this pack because it has room for a full frame dslr and 3 lenses on the bottom and room on top for other gear, food, etc. It also has a laptop pocket and a pocket for a water bottle. The straps are well padded and the waste belt helps to stablize the load. This is my 2nd pack of the same design. My first on lasted me 8 years.

Going to have to get with my hobby

Very well made. I’m just restarting my dslr hobby as I have retired. It seems a little advanced for my current equipment but I’m just going to let it encourage me to develope my skills and add a few lenses. Excellent service from this company.

Great bag, great solution.

I have another Lowepro camera backpack I love and a nice laptop backpack. Sometimes I need to take both camera and computer and what a pain to juggle both. This is a great solution! Comfortable and plenty of room! It is bulkier depthwise compared to my other bags but when I need this combo that isn't an issue, still takes up less space than two bags .IThe bag is nicely padded but still lightweight, a big plus for a bag meant to hold so much.I like that it stands upright when I need set it down somewhere, I'm not scrambling to balance it. Very pleased with my purchase!

Great Backpack, great price, just bulkier than I expected!

It's made my Lowepro so you really can't go wrong with the quality. Very well made and a pro-active design. Love the quality and the padding and pockets (slot for my lap top!). The only issue I have is that it's considerably larger and bulkier than I thought it was. It was on sale for 70% off so I did not hesitate to buy it because it was such a great deal... but I should have read the dimensions to realize it would be too large for what I was buying it for. Still a great deal and great backpack though!

Great Backpack

Great Backpack, give 5 Stars, my first one I used in 2016 to travel from Avon, CT to Alaska and then to Rwanda, Africa. The only reason I bought another one was I was afraid that it might be discontinued.

Great, Ample, just a little awkward tonopen

This back pack is perfect for me. It holds all the gear I need plus my lap top. The only small complaint is that it is little cumbersome to get into the camera compartment. I have a feeling that I’ll get used to it and won’t have such fumble fingers trying to open it.

A place for everything I need.

I received the Lowepro 350 and immediately transferred all my gear from two camera bags holding my Canon 20D and my Canon 7D MKII and four lenses and two speedlights, light meter, batteries, chargers cables, etc.. It held all of it with room left over. I then decided to try and fit my 17" HP Laptop in and it fit nicely. It is well made and I am about a 54" Waist and I was afraid that I couldn't adjust the straps to fit me but I could and I was happy about that. I took it on a shoot and neglected to zip up the camera compartment, someone moved it and things spilled out. I guess I need to remember to zip it up when I leave it unattended. I was disappointed that I didn't see a place to carry a tripod. I consider that minor though. Overall a well-made product that I am happy with.

Nice bag for short trips

A good quality bag from Lowepro, especially when you don't need to take a lot of lenses and equipment with you. I like the side access and the top bag for miscellaneous things. The drawback is that the lenses are kind of hard to put in and take out.

Not So Good

While the Lowepro Fastpack 350 holds lots of equipment, and it does hold a 15” laptop which is important when I travel, it is not the best Lowepro backpack I’ve owned and not worth the money I had a Lowepro backpack this one is replacing and if I didn’t need more space to carry my equipment and my 15” laptop, I’d return it.The padding on the shoulder straps is almost non-existent as opposed to my past Lowpro. Nor is the padding on the waist belt up to my past backpack. The carrying handle is a strap covered with rubber, rather than padded. And it needs a side carrying strap. The laptop compartment could be a little tighter and have some padding. The backpack comes with some straps and a cup with which to carry your tripod, but no instructions how to attach the straps to the pack. All this aside, it is a sturdy pack and I feel comfortable carrying it for short distances. Given its lack of padding, , I’m not sure I’d want to go off an a long hiking expedition with it.

Great, but missing a few things.

Good so far, an upgrade on my old AW which was actually a poor bag for one's back. Straps are thick and comfortable, space is OK on the inside along with segmented partitions. Could do with a few strong loops for attaching things to the exterior. No room for a travel tripod in the very weak mesh holder which is good for gloves or a small water bottle, say, but certainly not a tripod. Just go rained on heavily and it survived well. Worth the $ paid.

Really happy with the purchase of this LowPro bag

I've been using this bag for a few months and have been really pleased. It's very well made and I feel that my expensive equipment is very secure and well organized. I'm comfortable wearing the heavy bag when it's loaded with two full framed mirrorless bodies and four lenses, including a 100-400, plus a tripod and extra gear. My only negative experience is that I needed to add a way to secure my tripod since there was no strap. However, I had a large rubber that I use to attach the tripos to the top handle. That works really well.

Right size and style for traveling with my DSLR & common accessories

Bag is just the right size to hold my Nikon D7200, two spare lenses, the flash and some other small accessories. It has space for my MacBook, and for other travel essentials such as a raincoat, snacks and a water bottle. It is perfect for my needs.

A truly quality camera travel bag

By Steve

I love this bag. I'm not just fond of it, I truly love it. I travel for business and pleasure quite a bit, and I've been looking for a bag to suit my special needs for quite a while, then comes the Lowepro 350 Fastpack. It holds my laptop, my camera and equipment, and all my personal stuff I don't feel particularly good about entrusting to the airlines. Not only will it accommodate my 40D with grip, but with my 28-135 attached with lens hood. It has room for my 70-200 4L, and any extra ...

Secure & Comfortable With Room For More!

By MITCH R.

I am very happy with my Lowepro Fastpack 350 purchase. Ordering it over the internet, I was a little surprised by its large looking size when I first pulled it from the shipping box, but then I have never owned a camera bag/backpack combo before. My first concern was - will all of my camera gear (Canon EOS 50D, Canon 10-22, Canon 24-70 2.8, Canon 70-200 2.8, filters, spare battery, battery charger, manual...), properly fit? Yes. My camera and lenses fit snugly which was my hope. With no room...
