I use this bag when I want to take my DSLR and only 1 or 2 lenses with me. It is light, has just the right storage for some accessories. I like the way it conforms to my body unlike some bulky camera bags. The cross body design distributes weight and provides easy access (unlike a backpack). I just love it!

Very comfortable, hold enough gear and personal items and has handy pockets for water bottle, brochures, batteries, etc. I bought one for myself and one for my husband and he loves his too.

We were looking for something small but would protect our slr when on the go. Goos amount of padding and room for extra lens and flash this bag goes over the shoilder and keeps camera close when out and about.

I only gave it 4 stars because the padded camera insert is a bit roo small for complete coverage of a proDSLR with battery pack. I use it with one and can still zip it closed, but it is a bit tight. It would only have to be slightly bigger. Lowepro would not have to change the bag at all. It's easy to wear & can be slung around to stay pretty much where you want it. The interior pockets for memory cards, extra batts, etc., are terrific, and the zippered extension works well. Others have said the outside pockets should have closures. While that would provide more security, they are still deep enough to hide and hold a lot of items. Overall, I find this useful - and fairly attractive - as both a bag for the intrepid photographer-on-the-wall, and the casual user-of-all-things. I am a woman and can vouch for its comfort; not always true of camera shoulder bags/cross-body bags. The perfect bag for men or women to use when all you want to take is a camera and your brain;-)

Well designed, easy to open and use. Can be carried in a variety of ways. Also makes a conventional bag without the camera box so it is multipurpose. Good value for the money.

Great for carrying M.4/3 gear-- holds my OM-D EM-5, four lens, and a Nissin Flash all in the "protected" compartment inside the larger bag. Still have more room in the rest of the bag and its zip-out part, as well as the three outside pockets. The reason for only 4-star is that the outside pockets should have zippers on them for security.

I wanted a case that doesn't look like a camera bag but yet able to protect the camera. It even has room for other things.

Great day bag. Easy top zip access to gear. Only improvement would be to add a zipper on one of the outer side pockets. This is a repeat purchase but in a different color. Carries DSLR, 18-200 mm lens plus 60mm macro or 50mm lens plus Canon S95 and extra batteries, SD card pack, cell phone, cable release, wallet and a few other small items. Can carry a water bottle on one end. Hiking or city a good all around bag.

This is my second Lowepro Passport Sling. It tends to be my preferred bag for vacations and walkabouts because it can carry two micro 43 cameras with lenses mounted + four additional lenses + extra batteries, etc. This allows me to avoid changing lenses in the field. I might be called a "camera bag collector" (I own nine ... some bigger, some smaller) and this is the only bag I own that allows me to do this.

This bag has been the only bag so far to fit my daily needs. it is small, and lightweight with a nice shape that doesn't scream "camera equipment inside!". My DSLR with 55-200zoom lens fits perfectly in the camera pocket *with the divider removed* and I have room for a wallet, and random purse stuff I always carry. There are two dedicated tiny pockets for memory cards. There are outside pockets for things like cellphones, or papers. I have not gotten it perfectly adjusted yet- but it has a nice long strap. I don't know why a divider is provided in the camera compartment, with the divider in, not even an empty (lens-free) DSLR would fit in. I just took it out completely. To me, there is not *protected* space for a second lens. It can go in the general pocket, which is where I put it, but fussy folk might not like that. Overall this is my favorite day bag that holds it all without breaking my shoulder. Love it!

This bag is good when you don't have to carry a lot of stuff and you just want to walk around and take some shots. What I like most it that it isn't obvious that it's a camera bag.

Just what I have been looking for--light, accessible, compact but substantial camera and lens protection, and space for accessories and other items. Have been traveling with it almost since I bought it and have been very satisfied. I am about to buy more as gifts.

This bag is best suited for a small dSLR (ex. Canon 550D/T2i), with a short-medium lens attached (ex. EF-S 18-135mm), plus one more medium lens (ex. Canon EF 70-300mm). It is too small to use with a medium dSLR (ex. Canon 60D) without making modifications or deviating in other ways from the intended use/design. This bag does meet the functional needs for how I use it, but I don't think it will most people unless you have a small camera and smaller lenses as I mentioned. I use it for quick trips to the beach or other places around town, nothing more. I am able to put my Canon 550D with 18-135mm in the extra-padded insert section, along with an extra 70-300mm lens. In the area outside the padded insert, I lay in a medium-sized folded cloth that doubles as padding and a dust cloth. I put my 60D body, 50mm prime, and Joby Gorillapod on top of that. Since I am not going far (by car), there's little risk to damaging the larger more expensive camera. If I were traveling any distance, or by plane, I would not risk this configuration. When I'm out and about, I can leave the top of the bag open, and swap between cameras back and forth as I desire, and also gives me adequate working space and confidence to swap out a lens standing in the middle of nowhere, so to speak (although I don't really like doing this, hence the 2nd camera body). It is a decent bag for specific or light uses.

I wanted a bag that did not look like a camera bag. That I could wear for extended periods without the extra weight of most bags. I wore this bag for 9 hours straight covering a swim meet. I never knew it was there! It hugs and tucks out of the way. It swings around from rear to front effortlessly. I was a little taken back by the lime green interior. And I thought the padded strap could have been a little more padded. But neither one of my concerns turned out to be an issue that would prevent me from purchasing this product again. The outside pockets are a little tight and are not secured, so you'll want to be careful what you store in them. The adjustable and removable camera padded compartment is clever and the expandable zipper that increases the interior usable space is great. I had room for a D700 camera body with a zoom lens in the padded compartment and a strobe in the unpadded area. I just used the strobes padded case for additional protection. I still had room to pack a lunch or rain poncho if I wanted. This is my grab and go camera bag now!

I bought this bag in February for a family trip to Florida. I have a Lowepro backpack which I LOVE, but it was just too big and I didn't want to bring 'EVERYTHING'. This bag was PERFECTION!!! I fit SO much stuff in! My camera body with mid range zoom, plus one prime lens in padded part. My iPad, chargers, book, wipes, lens cleaning kit, cell phone(nice little pocket for that too!!),wallet and lots more little stuff! It was fantastic and I now use it as my purse! My camera is never far from my hands! There's even a cute little pocket for an extra flash card AND a special spot for a water bottle. It's really great! ONLY thing, when my camera has the battery grip attached, which isn't too often, it's a bit snug to zip it up. Not one other negative! Highly recommend buying this and this price is great too! I paid almost double!!!! yikes!

Used it as my only flight carry-on to London w/ camera, two lenses, 4 batteries, camera strap iPad, magazines and snacks. The best bag ever and fit under seat in front of me with room for my feet to stretch.

First of all, I don't think there is any one perfect bag for all situations. I was deciding between this bag and the Lowepro Versapack and ended up buying the Versapack. After a couple of months I bought the Passport Sling as well and love it. This will be my everyday camera bag. I set it up like a second purse (pen, gum, chap stick, etc.), so I just have to move in my wallet and cell phone and head out the door. I did wrestle with the divider in the camera compartment and ended up taking it out for now. My Nikon D7000 with 16-85mm lens fits in with a little room to spare and I like that I can get my hand in easily to get it out. When I take an extra lens I put in the bag part. I am more of a minimalist and don't want to carry a lot of weight, so this bag is great. I like that I can carry a water bottle and can unzip the bag if I want to lose a layer of clothing. I like that it is attractive, yet low profile, and I don't feel conspicuous taking it to a restaurant, sports event, work, etc. It is great in the city or on excursions and short hikes where you want to multi-task. If I was going on a longer hike or wanted to carry more gear, I would take the Versapack to better distribute the weight. That said, I don't find the bag uncomfortable. I am very happy with this purchase.

I really like this bag. It has just the right amount of space for an extra lens. You could probably add two extra lenses however, then you wouldn't be able to fit personal items. As a female I tend to stuff any bag that I carry. I like that I can unzip the side for extra room. Plus it helps me minimize what I put in the bag. :)

I bought it so that it would be easier for me to bring my DSLR EVERYWHERE with me and not have to carry a purse too. It works perfectly for that! Overall, I LOVE it! Adorama had the BEST price too! :)

I own a number of bags, all used for different shooting situations. The Passport Sling case is used when I need a bag to carry my short lens DSLR body with battery grip on assignments. It's a sturdy bag, with easy access to the camera, and it can hold two or three extra lenses, a flash attachment plus documents and a water bottle, and still has room for more. The carrying strap is wide and comfortable, and the long rather than wide bag design makes it easy to carry without bumping into things.

I tend to be a klutz so a cumbersome case is always a problem for me. I bought case after case, trying to find one that both accommodates my gear and allows me to get to it quickly, without fumbling expensive lenses etc.. The Passport Sling Case does exactly what I need and it's much more comfortable to wear that any other I've owned.

Loved this bag! It was the perfect choice to take on our African Safari. The versatility of this bag allowed me to keep my camera safe, carry a water bottle and have all my essentials for the day conveniently kept in one safe place. The Bag is very comfortable and its super easy to access my camera when needed.

I was very excited to get this bag, after researching many many bags, this seemed to be the one. My wife and I joked, we were waiting anxiously for our 'Celery bag' to come! In the promo video provided by Lowepro, a woman made as though there was SO much extra room in the bag while she was at the market, she was able to unzip the expansion zipper and have room for the said produce. Albeit, this bag is intelligently designed, sturdy with great adjustable/locking straps (sometimes uncomfortable, mine seem to be sewn twisted for whatever reason, I trust it's on purpose)-- this bag has nice protective, configurable, and removable velcro foam inserts for your gear-- BUT!!! In the end this bag has as much room as the bag I was intending to replace-- However, I do give Lowepro mad credit for the sleek messenger style with much practical utility and design ingenuity. Despite my personal expectations, I would certainly recommend this product as well as pursue other items by Lowepro.

I use this bag when I don't need to carry along a lot of equipment. I use it as a combination photobag/pocketbook. It will hold my Nikon D5000 with lens. Spare battery & SD cards, lens cleaning equipment, filters, wallet, & I can put a water bottle in one of the outside pockets. Then I am ready to go. Great for fairs, walks and sightseeing.

I had my doubts at first. it looks a bit like a diaper bag, however, it fits (unexpanded) my canon 7D with zoom attached and an additional prime lens easily. With it expanded you can add couple more lenses, flash or my favorite -my 12" lenovo thinkpad - definitely the smallest bag that can fit a full size DSLR and a small laptop (not netbook). You can easily get at your camera at all times while wearing it which is why I love it. I use my mountainsmith bag for transporting/traveling with the gear and around town I always have my passport sling with camera, zoom, 28mm prime, laptop and notebook. For the price this bag offers a lot. If you cinch it up tight you can even go jogging with it. Not waterproof though so I keep a plastic bag tucked inside it just in case.

Very nice camera bag

Passport Sling, Freedom for your every move. Protection for your DSLR. Lots of space for your personal gear....
Lowepro's Passport Sling is designed for today's photo enthusiasts who want to carry an equal amount of camera and personal gear as they sightsee, travel or go out for a walkwith their DSLRs. It's unique and comfortable shape is unlike a traditional sling bag it truly conforms to the body and easily moves with the wearer.
Place it across the chest, high and close or low and loose, depending on the activity. The shoulder strap features a cam lock buckle that easily adjusts for an ideal fit, plus a removable, sliding shoulder pad that offers cushioned comfort when needed. On the exterior, two slash pockets and a water bottle pocket provide quick access to maps, guide books, boarding passes.
Inside, the sling is equipped to protect your DSLR and a few accessories as well as offer plenty of space for personal items. Unzip the front of the Passport Sling to reveal an expansion compartment that adds approximately 30% more space enough to accommodate items like a light jacket, lunch, cool souvenir or farmers' market find.
A fully padded camera box (with built-in memory card pocket) protects a DSLR. Remove it and collapse the box when you want to pack the sling in a larger bag for travel.
