I shoot a great deal of HD video using my JVC GY-HM100 on SDHC cards. This case is far better than carrying my spare cards in the little plastic cases. Even though the case itself is plastic, it has a metal hinge which is the part that gets the most wear. With the metal trim on the front it looks nice and substantial. It definitely weighs more that eight cards in their plastic cases, but it will protect them better and will give you options for keeping them organized that won't work with loose cards. I keep 16 gig cards on one side and 32 gig cards on the other. Empty cards face up, used cards face down. Simple and easy to remember. An excellent way to keep that precious data organized and secure.

Good quality card case. Hard sides make it more protective than other cases. Adequate storage room for now, but would like to see one with double capacity. Purchased one for work to hold SD cards for GPS units.

IT IS GREAT, BUT I WAS HOPPING TO GET THE CARDS IN THEIR CASES IN IT, TAKING CARDS OUT OF CASE I HAVE NO WAY OF NOTING, MARKING CARD TO KNOW WHICH IS WHICH, ALSO IN THE CASE CARD WILL STAY CLEAN

I looked at a zillion different storage cases, and knew I didn't want the same old nylon mesh pockets. Finally, I found this - plenty of card space in a compact case. It accommodates plenty of cards without the bulk, but still gives me a sense of the cards being secure in a pocket or bag. I love it so much I bought the sister model for my other media!
