Exactly as advertised - easy to access the equipment, lots of space, yet very compact...

This bag is perfect for my needs. It holds my Canon 40D fitted with my 70-200 2.8L IS lens together with 3 other lenses, teleconverter, 430ex flash and all cables, cleaners. It also holds my laptop and still has room for other items (lunch and/or drink). Two of the very cool features are the built-in microfiber cloth in the mail compartment and the built-in raincover the folds out over the whole bag.

nice design and easy access the equipment, protection for gear is not enough, laptop component is too small even for 15",

I love this bag, particularly for vacations and as a grb-and-go bag. I can fit a D80 with 70-200 f2.8 attached, along with a flash, and a couple of other lenses. Add cards, filters, batteries, etc. I carry a 10.4" laptop with power supply, mouse, etc. It will easily handle a 15" wide screen, but not a typical 17". Fully loaded, it is a bit heavy for single shoulder sling strap, but the waist strap stabilizes the bag fine. It works well for transport the airport and hotels, and short outings. I wouldn;t want to carry a full load all day. I usually lighten the load before heading out to shoot the sights. The only dissappointment is the lack of any means to carry a small monopod.

I have owned the Slingshot 200 AW for 2 years and love it! I upsized to the 350 AW because it will hold my camera body with grip and 70-200 attached. Both bags are top of the line in quality and durability but the 350 has a lot more room. IMO the Slingshot is the perfect bag for the sports photographer, photo journalist or any photographer who needs quick access to his/her gear. The "AW" means "all weather" but it also means "AWesome"!

The Lowepro SlingShot 350 AW is perfect for the photojournalist or serious enthusiast who wants a sling-style camera bag that allows easy access while wearing, plus room for a notebook. The ergonomic sling strap evenly adjusts weight and easily rotates from back to front-making it simple to work out of the bag.
The roomy main compartment is outfitted with adjustable, padded dividers to customize up to a pro-sized camera kit. Additional features include; padded waist belt, mesh back pad, All Weather Cover, built-in memory card pouch and microfiber LCD cloth, silent zipper pulls, Hypalon SlipLock attachment loops, plus accessory pockets for easy access to personal items. A padded compartment fits most 15.4" notebooks.
