I like everything about this and carry with my flash all the time. The only issue I have with it is that it can sometimes leave a distracting catch light in the subjects eyes.

Effective and easy to use. Most effective when shooting landscape or with a flash bracket if shooting vertical. I recommend it.

By using this deflector you will get a bigger light source which will dramatically reduce harsh shadows and sharp contrast from your flash. I prefer the 20% bounce as I can always put a white paper in the voids if I need more power, (not very often). Colored paper or even your hand can add a significant tint to your subject. Very compact and easy to bring with you in your kit.

The 80-20 enlarges and redirects 20% of the light at a 90° angle from the flash and allows 80% of the light to pass on, to be redirected by another surface -- most likely a ceiling.
Application: This device illuminates the scene with light bouncing off the ceiling while providing "fill" light off the bounce device itself. For use in situations where an 8-9 ft. ceiling is available.
