Perfect for the small bag when you think you need great direct flash coverage, but this is actually better. Folds down to fit along one side of your camera bag or backpack, and so light you won't even know you added it to carry around when it's not actually in use. Easy to clean if it gets splattered with something. Inexpensive enough to buy several and keep handy in different camera bags, etc. It seems like it will attach to any sort of flash, but it will attach to all of mine for sure. Instead of paying more, for less, try one of these first; I'm certain you will be buying a few more once you see.

I have been using a lumiQuest pocket bouncer for over 30 years. I like the way it lights the people in my photos. Also it collapses nicely to fit in my camera case, I just purchased 2 more so I'll always have one in my case when I need it.

I use this in situations where the ceiling is not white, too high, or just not there. Easy to pack and good to have when needed.

The lumiquest is a great instrument to have if you want to do close/macro photography. It is able to get the light right where you want it to. Great produce to have in your camera bag.

Smooths out the light. Works best for me with Auto ISO off and set to 400.

I use the Pocket Bounce on my SunPak Flash attached to my Nikon D50. My first use was photographing a wedding. I was quite surprised when I did not have to tweak the light levels but very little on 200 shots. I was prepared to purchase a Nikon SB600 Flash. Don't need it now!

Not sure I like it that much. Do not notice much difference in my photos. Still casts a hard flash on the subject. Not much diffusion. I would recommend one of the other models. The construction and set-up are great and easy.

This use of the LumiQuest ProMax Pocket Bouncer with the nikon SB-800 flash produces much softer lighting and nice portaits. It does reduce exposure by about two stops so some compensation may be needed. This product fills a need and I recommend it to any photographer who photos people. Can also be used for good results on flowers, etc.

I haven't had this item to long. I have tried it out however and it works as advertized. It may look a little strang but it provides consistent soft lighting, when you are unable to bounce off the ceiling. It works best fairly close (say within 15 ft) since the light falls off quickly. It can be a nice item to have with you though.

Easy to use and no need to adjust once you apply it to the flash.

To be honest, I still couldn't figure out how to use it properly. Firstly, it brings a lot of attention and sometimes laughters when I attach it, but that may be helpful occasionally. Secondly, it causes the light to fade very quickly in the distance, so I had some very bad results so far. I still try to get the people under a roof so I can bounce the light from above. I may have to try more to see if I can improve it.

I have been using it systematically for most of my flash photos for over 15 years... It is just a MUST for nice and soft flash photos. The only drawback is that you loose about 2 stops exposure. You can position it on your flash to send some of the light to the ceiling and so have two sources of bounced light.

Fabulous. A MUST for most flash photos

The Pocket Bouncer enlarges and redirects light at a 90° angle from the flash to soften the quality of light and distribute it over a wider area. While no exposure compensation is necessary with automatic flashes, operating distances are somewhat reduced.
Application: To soften flash light quality with minimal light loss; to be used with slaves or alone where low ceilings are not available, or where more direct but soft fill light is desired.
