Patricia P : Does it stand on its on or do you need a stand?THOMAS S : It does not stand on its own, you will need; Flashpoint Backdrop and Reflector Holder Clip SKU: FPXCP200 MFR: FPX-CP200ANNETTE S : It doesn’t stand on it’s own. You need a stand or helperBRUCE N : You need a stand or lean against something - it won't stand on its own.HARRIS N : You need a stand.EMERY W : It requires sma supportSCOTT W : You definitely need a stand. It's way to floppy to stand on its own. You might be able to lean it against a wall but since it's collapsible and when it's unfolded it kind of looks like a potato chip in shape. I use the lastolite background support and it pulls it taut and straightens it out and then you can move it up or down. The nice thing about that stand is it folds up small enough that it fits into the background carry bag.
JOHN T : Is there any blue in this background? The gray backgrounds I find like this have a blue hue to them. I need a nice gray color, no blue.EMERY W : I haven't experienced a blue hue from mine. If you do, your color temperature in camera may be a little off.ROBIN A : Hi John, yes, both the sides do have a tint of blue based on the lighting of my room. When i have a brighter light on the light side of the background, I get a very whitish true gray. The darker side typically is a gray blue regardless of my lighting. Hope this helps. Robin A
Shopper : Does this look identical to the image (two colors on the one side) or is it one background on one side and the other background on the reverse side? Thank you!KENNETH W : I purchased the background that has a color on each side. I use both sides and would not recommend buying a background that you can only use one side. Because it is so convenient to use, I have been using this background more and more in my studio. It is so easy to use one side and then rotate it to use the color on the reverse side. I have a canvas background as my main background and paper backgrounds to use as well, but this portable background is becoming my main choice of backgrounds in the studio as well. It is so good to work with I have purchased a second one of a different set of colors that are darker than my lighter gray-colored portable background. I don't think you can go wrong by purchasing the portable background. Dark side looks good!

Bought it for the light side. It's really ugly, but needed it for one job. I kept it cuz the darker side looks pretty good.

Well Made

Background is well made. Folds up easily. Great for headshots. The dark side is a little blue and the the lighter side is slightly warm. Would prefer that they were both more neutral.

Excellent quality and a practical size

Excellent quality in a practical size. This is my third Lastolite Collapsible backdrop. The first was a 6x7 and this is my second 5x6. Does everything I want. Works great with gelled light light hitting the background. Folds easily especially after "mastering" the 6'x7' model. I would recommend it to a friend.

Best portable backdrop out there

I have a small studio and this backdrop fills every issue I have. Easy to put up, easy to take down and great size for easy storage. I need to get more of these backdrops.
