About Lastolite

The Translucent Tri-Grip gives soft, even, and diffused lighting (1-stop difference). The Tri-Grip's comfortable handle allows for easy manipulation of the reflecting panel with no stand or support needed, even the photographer can hold the reflector and shoot at the same time!

The Tri-Grip is a revolutionary improvement in collapsible reflectors. By replacing the traditional round reflector with a unique triangular design with built-in handle, Lastolite has not only improved ease of use but also convenience.

Why Triangular? Because the shape combines the ability to collapse the product down and the ability to hold itself rigid. Taking lighting accessories on location has never been simpler! The Tri-Grip measures approximately 30" on each side, and is also available in the following colors: Gold/White, Sunfire/Silver, and Silver/White.

Awesome!

I would recomend this to anyone, professional or novice. I hate the harsh sunlight and dark shadows that ruin the pictures when shooting in direct sun. This is a permanant part of my equipment bag. Just in case your not sure, unlike relectors you hold this directly between the sun and your subject, it filters out the sunlight and gives you a nice even light on the subject. No more squinting from the model or harsh shadows or streaks of light. One thing you should know, because of it's size it...

Metal inside is already bent up!!

So I just received this in the mail- haven't even used it! and the metal wiring inside of it is all bent up making it VERY difficult to fold correctly! This is the second lastolite trigrip diffuser that this has happened to me with! My last one- the client spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to fold it (I had even told him not to worry about it, but was persistent). Products like this should not be considered professional grade.

Great

Tricky, but ingenious folding up. Important to fold up to store, not tear, and not get dirty. Remember it's only big enough for one or at most two faces. Not a fault, it's just the nature of light.

Does the Trick

By

Diffuses harsh sunlight at a wide and even perspective. Softens stobe for creative affect on the subject. I own several Lastolite products, including multiple Tri Grips in various sizes. Products are durable and easily folded for compact storage or trasportation to location site.

I use this to diffuse light and for reflection...no complaints thus far...although it's still fairly new...Not really anticipating any problems. Happy customer. And the transaction thru Adorama was nice and easy.

Performs as advertised

By

from Frankfort, Ky  -  Semi-pro Photographer

Creates a nice soft light and can be hand held by the photog or assistant as well as attached to light stand with a gripping device. Light and durable design makes it easy to take into the field. Stores nicely too.

Does the Job!

By

I used this at an outdoor photo shoot and it really did the job of filtering out the harsh sunlight. Couldn't shoot in sunlight without it.
