....#2 light in a 3 light set up... works great...lite weight, could use a stiffer spring on door hinges....

Great inexpensive option for the Adorama Budget Flash. They construction is metal and plastic and I would suspect this could break if not handled too carefully. Does a good job of controlling the light like any other barn doors. Attaches pretty easily. Folds up small and protects the tube in the light once folded.

Used to limit the spread of light. These units only allow you to position the doors to set positions.

These barndoors are surprisingly better than I expected for the price. They fit some of my other small lights as well, so they aren't just limited to the Adorama budget flash and slave. The flaps hold their place very well and take more than just an accidental brushing to knock out of position.

I use these in my studio on the bf0160's. They are on the lights at all times. They are made out of metal and are secure on the lights. They work like any barn door.

These are loose doors and do not stay adjusted if on an angle. These are not the best made product. If you can get something else you might want to do that. They came withn the kit I bought and I can make them work but of everything that cam in the kit these are the worse item.

I bought 2 barn doors to use on my 2 JTL Mobilights as accessory lights in my studio. They fit the lights perfectly and are smooth and snug moving barn doors.

For the low price you get an adequate barndoor. Flaps are small and cannot be positioned precisely. However, if you're looking for an inexpensive crude barndoor, this will do the job.

I picked up two sets to use for my location assignments. The barndoors are quick and easy to attach, much stronger than the older models were. They are an incredible value to modify portable flashes that give you the look of an expensive studio set up. I typically carry four flash units and these give me a great way to sculpt light at a great price.

After reading the first three reviews, I'm sure that I must have gotten a bad one. While the construction material is quite good and the fit is great, even on my other monolights (I haven't tried it on a shoe mount), the doors on my unit just will not stay in place except when fully extended or closed down to just a slit. If it is just a case of getting a bad one then this would be a great bargin. Would be nice to have a set of snap on filters and a honeycomb availeble for purchase also. I can't say I would not reccommed this item because first of all I'm not certain that it wasn't just the one I got and also other than the one fault the overall quality is very good, maybe I'll order another just to see.

these barn doors should be in the bags of every one who seriously works with off-camera flash's. and even though it was designed for Adorama's budget flash it will fit on other types as well. Will fit a vivitar 285hv perfectly canon 580ex II using the four tightening screws Im sure many others as well. the only Con is that the doors can not be positioned precisely.

GREAT VALUE for the money! Does not fit real snuggly on my flash head but I can build the surface up with gaffers tape to snug it up. Great for getting some unusual effects with shoe mount flash.
