Interesting

I just recieved this yesterday and tried to assemble it in the late afternoon. Without any directions included, I found it very hard to assemble. I tried a bunch of options (learned a few more swear words) and finally got it to a point where I think it's correcly assembled. I still have a small patch of cloth that I have yet to find a use for. Can someone enlighten me?

Assembly is entertaining

I read the reviews for the 18" softbox. I apologize for thinking my assembling skills were superior to theirs. My wife and I got a good workout getting this thing put together. Lots of profanity. No instructions and you feel like the rods are going to snap. Once you're past that, never disassemble it, ever! I use this with the budget monolight. For the price, it works great.

Not too shabby

I'm currently using these softboxes with the budget flash, and I'm very happy so far. These are kind of small, so they don't spread light as much as you would want all the time, but they do the job! Right now, I'm using them for food photography on a cookbook, and I'll be using them for night time shooting to soften the light around models.

Shopper  How do you put this together? No instructions?
DANIEL H  I actually found a really helpful video on YouTube on how to put this softbox together. Once I followed the video's instructions, I never took the softbox apart, because it is a BEAST to assemble. Since I can't put links on here, my suggestion is to: 1. Go to YouTube 2. Search for "how to assemble Adorama 18x18 softbox (instructions should be the same, regardless of size) 3.Look for the video titled "Assembling the Adorama Budget Softbox 18" 4. ??? 5. Profit. Or something like that. The video features a girl with curly, brown hair, wearing a green, patterned shirt. You'll know her when you see her. She gives very good, clear instructions. Hey, if her instructions can step me through it, you should do just fine! Best of luck!
KIM T  That was my video :) It's youtube . com /kimtown and you'll see the video about half way down. Glad it helped you! Follow this link: bit.ly/LbQhCm

Using Bank Lights

First off, some bank light basics: Unlike umbrellas, bank lights are bulky (even when collapsed!), a pain to set-up, and equally frustrating to break down! Bank lights come in a huge variety of sizes to create beautiful, soft, directional light suitable for a huge variety of subjects.
