Interesting

I just recieved this yesterday and tried to assemble it in the late afternoon. Without any directions included, I found it very hard to assemble. I tried a bunch of options (learned a few more swear words) and finally got it to a point where I think it's correcly assembled. I still have a small patch of cloth that I have yet to find a use for. Can someone enlighten me?

Assembly is entertaining

I read the reviews for the 18" softbox. I apologize for thinking my assembling skills were superior to theirs. My wife and I got a good workout getting this thing put together. Lots of profanity. No instructions and you feel like the rods are going to snap. Once you're past that, never disassemble it, ever! I use this with the budget monolight. For the price, it works great.

Not too shabby

I'm currently using these softboxes with the budget flash, and I'm very happy so far. These are kind of small, so they don't spread light as much as you would want all the time, but they do the job! Right now, I'm using them for food photography on a cookbook, and I'll be using them for night time shooting to soften the light around models.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  will this fit standard speedring ( 4 rods)?
STEPHEN H  I am not sure. It comes with its own connector to attach to the strobe. It is hard to put together because it does not have instructions and you do have to bend the rods to fit the connector. It will not break the rods but I wonder how many has been returned because they could not figure out how to put it together thinking they would break the rods by bending them. Stephen
Shopper  How do you put this together? No instructions?
REBECCA R  This is a bit of a wrestling match. If yours is like mine the provided rods go into the plastic light mount and the other ends fit into sleves on the box. There is some flexing of the rods in the assembly process but it will work.
Shopper  Will this fit on a Photogenic Studiomax III 320 monolight?
RONALD B  I'm not familiar with the Photogenic product line but I can tell you that the mounting bracket (using four thumb-screws has a 3 3/4" curcumference. Hope that helps.
