For holding a single strobe with small modifier, it's just fine. The fact that it has discrete feet helps keep it from showing up behind subject. It's short, but that's what I want for a background stand. I use it with a streaklight 180. I've used it both mounted on top and mounted sideways. Works ok, but should put a sandbag over legs if it might get bumped.

Skip this one, cheap materials and bad design. Get the Impact or PhotoFlex, both are dramatically better and only five bucks more

I like the fact that it ranges from 5" to 30". Perfect for lighting studio backgrounds.

This stand is awesome! It has so many uses, and is very versatile! - use it as a regular small light stand with low footprint - take off the bar and use it as a floor level stand - use it as a DOUBLE light stand because of the extra 1/4-20 hole on the foot - take off the pole extension and use THAT elsewhere as a light stand extender You double your value because of the many uses. And the low footprint is extremely handy. Lastly, it folds up very small when not in use. At least one of these should be in your kit!

the base is too short to support much weight at the top. Flimsy. Cannot extend high enough to support a lightbox.

Needed a second background lightstand as I will be using a second shooter for a large event. I saw this stand and it fit my budget so I ordered it. Well I like this stand so much it is now my number one background stand. It is well made and heavily constructed. All around a great deal.

I use the stand to support the Ador Master (LTACMS) attached with the Ador AC Socket w/Lite Stand Adapter (LTSK3) and it works great.

The light stand is a very good product. Easy to use and setup, fits into tight spaces. The only thing I would like is the option for an extra extension section or sections of different lengts. I thought the product was good enough to give one to my Daughter who lives in a small Montana town and hobbies in photography.

This stand has some nice features. It comes with the stud to use for a light just a few inches off the ground and a pole that allows for extending it up to about 36". Not that sturdy so a heavy light would not work well.

i bought this to use a background light stand. for the money it seems pretty good. it's not quite as tough as some of the similar stands from other companies, but it also cost half the price.

Mixing ambient and flash can be tricky enough when you're shooting on a sunny day but when the ambient light level drops it becomes even harder.
