I have not used used these stands for anything heavier than 1 lb, just holding Speedlights and IR sources. The finish of the product is superb and the fittings work smoothly. A first rate product.

I bought this stand. For the money it's good. You get what you pay for. I bought this to use as an umbrella stand. Great for an umbrella, but hope there is no breeze. Great for indoor jobs, but would not want to use it outdoors unless there was no wind.

I use this light-stand to hold an Adorama LED Video light (FPVL160). It has a gas-lift, so when you untighten each section, it doesn't just come crashing down to the bottom, which is nice. It is light-weight, so when you extend this to its maximum height, it can be a little top-heavy (meaning, it will tip over if you bump it sufficiently hard enough). For controlled home/studio use, it seems adequate, and I have used it standing as is for hours at a time. But for a wedding or other high-traffic area, I think a heavier and sturdier alternative might be a smarter buy.

Purchased this stand as a pairing with the Flashpoint Softbox. Adorama had it delivered to my door the day after I ordered it. Stand is of a surprisingly good quality considering the low price. Assembles quickly and is sturdy. Versatile too, as I've also used it to securely hold collapsible disc backgrounds for headshots.

This stand is solid and sturdy. It fits the need, perfectly, for portable, easy to carry and use, lightstand. My use has been as a portable stand for a Nikon SB-800 flash.

You get what you pay for. Its kinda cheap and flimsy but does the job (holding a light reflector umbrella) so I'm OK about it. How long will it last?

Has air inside to cushion the stability. Wow, was not expecting this. It came as a set with an umbrella and bracket. Usually the stands in the set are black and not as large or tall. Works great and now I need more of these.

Haven't used it enough to know if durable. Air cushioning was a surprise and it works well. Oversized knobs are nice. Longer legs would be more stable, but also more bulky and more trip hazard. Need weights on bottom anytime outdoors, but that's not a shortcoming of this stand.

I shoot most photos using NIKON SB-600 speedlights. This is just perfect for a speedlight. Folds small, easy to carry and work with.

Great for lighting flat objects too large to scan, objects too big for lightbox, portraits. A lot of function for a little money
