Decent stand for the price, it is air cushioned but it is a little flimsy. For travel it is nice because it is lightweight.

I bought the soft box for the SB900 and needed a stand for it. Also, I liked to use umbrella where I had to and this stand is perfect for the job. It is pretty sturdy & rugged to handle the weight of the gears even at 9 Ft which is awesome for my need. The top stud is perfect for all my adapters. Over all I am pretty satisfied with this purchase. Reason for 4 stars is that the metal ends are cheap plastic inserts.

Used for portrait photography. It is light weight and with the carrying case is easy to transport. Have found no faults.

As an owner of several lightweight off camera flash light stands, and having very little experience using monolights, I had t think twice about buying a monolight on the cheap without a lightstand to support it. After some thought I opted to buy my monolight in the form of a kit with a flashpoint light stand an umbrella...VERY glad that I did, it is much better built than I thought that it would be and it is a very stable support for any of the lightweight to medium size monolights. I couldn't be more pleased!

This stand was part of a lighting package deal. It exceeded expectations. Price vs. Product, I don't think you could beat it.

I am not a professional photographer. I use the light stand with a Nikon SB910 flash and Pocketwizard to shoot pictures of humming birds. For me the stand is perfect. The extended height allows me get above the birds and the wide base keeps it steady.

The only improvement I can think of would be the addition of turf spikes.

I am using this stand as a tripod for my GoPro camera. It is very sturdy and well-built and an absolute steal for the price! I am using it with the 1/4"-20 thread and it works wonderfully. The dark coating makes it inconspicuous on location work.

This is a very good stand at the price that you just cannot beat. It's pretty sturdy and the fact that it's air cushioned makes it even nicer.

Great stand. Love the way it doesn't slam down. The air cushion lets each section drop down smoothly.

Love the height.

Wanted another heavy light stand, this is not it. While it has the height, it's built more like a medium duty stand. Disappointed, but will make do for now.

Very sturdy well built light stand. Some reviews say the joints are plastic.. not true... they are made of a cast metal and coated with a thick black paint or powdercoating. The only thing plastic are the tightening knobs that are attached to metal screw threads. Holds my Flashpoint M620 just fine.

Bought a kit with two 9.5' lighstands, two Flashpoint II 620M monolights, a Flashpoint II DC battery power pack, a snoot, two umbrellas, a softbox, a lighting outfit case, and a lighting guide. Very happy. Came with all the cables. Everything is compatible. Easy to operate, and lots of fun! Don't hesitate. For the price, these tools are fabulous. You can't go wrong. Shot my first portrait within 6 hours of receipt!

I really like this product. It does not bend when you put a heavy soft box on it even when its extended.

These stands are sturdy and well made. I use both for lights and background stands. With medium sized soft box or octa box the stand requires no weight bag. I use the stands exclusively in the studio so I can't speek to how well the stands hold up on location.

I was looking for my first light stand for for my speedlight to get off camera lighting. This stand was just what I needed. The height (almost 10 feet) makes it easy for some overhead lighting shots.

The product is sturdy and worked out really well for my photography lighting. However, I wish the stand came with a base so I could get more uses out of the product. Between the light and the stand, there isn't much flexibility which is becoming an issue for me.

I use this light stand with a monolight and 7-foot parabolic umbrella. It is quite capable of handling its bulk.

I got 2 of these to hold my flashes and umbrellas. They do the job, but feel weak. Even though they are holding just flashes and an umbrella, it makes me question if it won't collapse. But at 1/2 the cost, they do the job.

Is a great lightstand for flash photography. I tried using it as a background stand one day and it was not sturdy enough. If you plan to use this with studio strobes I would recommend not using them above 5-6 feet. They are not chrome they are aluminum only the mount at the top is chrome. This is an advantage and a disadvantage. If they were chrome they would weigh 3x as much and be 5x as sturdy. Being aluminum they are not as sturdy but are easy to drag around town with you all day which is what I wanted.
