Most Liked Positive Review

fantastic

Great flash/umbrella holder.

VS

Most Liked Negative Review

Not Very Good

The ball mechanism used hold the desired angle is not very smooth to use, nor does it every seems to lock into place very well. It seems poorly constructed. Having the flash mount on top is nice, but my flashes came with their own adapters for attaching to light stands.

Reasonable

I like this umbrella holder. The main reason I got it was because I wanted to be able to pack it into a small space, and this is the most streamlined one I saw. I'm very happy with it, but if I wasn't using them on the run, I'd go with one that had larger tightening devices. For my use this is perfect. Streamlined and compact.

Easy to set up and universal. You can put it on old tripods. Put it on screw or hot shoe. Reliable. Easy to put umbrella. Must have couple.

ROBERT B  There is a screw hole on the bottom of the hotshoe connector that the light stand screws into.
Shopper  Do you have a similar adapter that will convert the top of a light stand to standard mike stand threads so that I can suspend a couple of pencil condenser mikes over a stage to record an orchestra? If it had a ball joint like the one shown, that would even be better because I could tilt the condenser mikes. Let me know. Paul
RAYMOND A  This ball adapter sits loose in the shoe on my video camera. It almost fell off. I have to do something to make it fit tight. Most still male shoes like this have a wheel to tighten it to the female shoe.
