Inexpensive and very useful. My helpers tend to break many umbrellas. Need inexpensive replacements that do a good job. This fits.

Needed a replacement umbrella for a class, after my other one blew over in the wind & was damaged. Item arrived very quickly, and no time was lost. Thanks for your prompt attention. John

This set up, with a Brolly grip, is mandatory in my shooting bag. Keep the plastic it came in to keep it clean. In a real pinch it could be a serviceable umbrella. Was also surprised how it does not scare off insects in macro situations. Have also used this at weddings where couples want a quick portrait. Make sure to write down their names and address. They could be a source of another job as long as they understand this is not their wedding.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
ROBERT S  Highly convenient and portable shoot though---great for headshots where a large light source is not required, but gives a nicely-sized diffused light to a small area.
Shopper  Can this umbrella be used with hot lights?
DAVID J  NO! NO! NO! it will melt and likely ignite. If you are going to use continuous lighting, use LED or mercury fluorescent type, but not incandescent.
Shopper  What kind of tripod would you use for this light umbrella?
ARLEN B  Any light stand, using an umbrella adapter. So, you need 3 pieces--the umbrella, the light stand and the adapter. I think some adapters may have a tripod socket, but a light stand is probably cheaper and lighter weight.
