very good coverage and not much loss of lite. the only thing that it needs is a counter balance so that you don't have to over tighten the flash bracket.

This is a giant umbrella, you will need a very sturdy light stand to use it. I have only used it once as of this writing, but I am well pleased. I would not describe it as "Heavy Duty" but I think it is well made for what it cost. I am using it with a Speedotron M90 with no reflector. It seems great for fashion style photos. The packaging was good and it was received undamaged. Glad I purchased.

This umbrella is parabollic by nature, but it has many uses

The reflective properties make this alomost too efficient! I'm using low power strobe and still see remarkable amount of light reflected back onto the subject. I thought it might be too large but it's not if you have 10' or greater ceilings because you can leave it set open up high enough against the ceiling to walk underneath this.

This is one great piece of equipment. The parabolic is efficient and big and soft. You have to know how to set it up though: 1) no reflector on your strobe 2) choke the umbrella up so that the edge of the umbrella is on the edge of your flashtube. It creates an 86 inch shaft of light that is breathtaking.

Photographers renting the studio LOVE it so far. This big silver umbrella produces just as it says, like a softbox, but uses far less power for much more BANG. Soft shadows from a relatively long subject-to-light distance keeps the shooting area much less cluttered. I really like it, but I use it very carefully -- it's NOT rugged gear.

This "new" umbrella was completely missing the shaft latch and the nose of the umbrella was beaten until half of it was missing. [...]

Excellent value for a large umbrella

This umbrella is parabollic by nature, but it has many uses
Flaspoint presents a quality parabolic umbrella with 16 ribs and a very shiny silver coating on the inside. It features a very precise front focusing device, c and an also be used with HMI constant lighting.
The design of this quality umbrella results in a very high light efficiency. It allows the choice of directed light with high contrast to extremely soft light.
In comparison to a large area lamp the light stays constantly brilliant, shrouding the object like a cloud of light and bringing out wonderfully the structures.
Due to the calculated parabolic shape of the umbrella, light fall off towards the edges is negligible.
