Shopper : when installing, how will the on and off switch be operated?SCOTT H : I returned mine for not being adjustable. As I understand it the stock slide release is replaced with the on off "switch" slide release. It moves laterally to turn on the laser.NICK P : The slide lock lever release is replaced with LaserMax's, which functions as both a slide lock release when pushed momentarily down and a ON/OFF switch when latched by pushing left or right (center OFF). It stays ON until you return the lever to the center. So YOU turn it ON and OFF using the slide release lever. Also if the slide is latched back the Laser will be OFF until it is brought forwad again. The thing couldn't have been made better by Glock themselves, in terms of fit and quality. I haven't been able to check the shooting accuracy yet but it does seem to line up with the sites pretty well. Adorama camera is a great vendor with the best price on the internet, plus free shipping including ebay. (No I don't work for them) So far this is an excellent product in terms of fit and quality. Besides easy to follow instructions, there is also an instructional video on LaserMax's site. I'm glad I didn't buy the under rail mount type. Also look for rebates on the LaserMax site. The only down side is that this is not available in daylight visible green, at least not yet, but I wouldn't prevent me from buying it.KEITH H : The slide lock turns into the switch, left to right on/off.
