Questions & Answers

Otto B : Are rod mounted laser sights as good or better than trigger mounted?RALPH A : I use the LaserMax Guide Rod Mounted Red Laser Sight for the SiG SAUER P228 Semiauto Handgun which is a bit more expensive but replaces the guide rod and is activated by a clever button built into the slide release on either side of the weapon. No extra bulk. no adjustments and very accurate!BORIS P : Its not a question of which laser is better (Internal or External). I prefer an internal laser over external because the rail mount stays available for other options like a flashlight. Also the internal laser never needs to be adjusted. The only negativ point I have about lasermax's product is the price! But you get what you pay for and that is top of the line!!!DAVID G : Better in my opinion. In 2yrs and 1k rounds later, it's always on target and accurate.DENNIS J : The only way to go is with a guide rod. 1) the balance of the handgun is not changed 2) will fit in a regular holster 3) easy to light upALAN P : Yes.DALE H : Rod mounted laser is essentially a bore sighted laser and theoretically more accurate. I find even though the grip mounted laser is adjustable, it cannot be adjusted to the exact point of impact, not enough travel.FRANK K : I believe they are better for two main reasons: (1) they are better protected and (2) they are in alignment with the barrel.
Shopper : where do i find extra battery for lx 2263?ANTHONY D. S : Sure radio shack or any hardware store would have it. ALFRED B : I haven't had to buy any extra batteries for this device yet, but I'd bet that Radio Shack has them. They have most other types.RAYMOND C : Do a search for LaserMax battery then choose the right battery for your LaserMax/gun model.JAMES M : You can buy batteries anywhere button style batteries are sold. I can buy the ones I need at the dollar store. Eight for a dollar. My unit takes an AG13, which can also use 357, lr44, sg13, and others.

Great support tool

Laser sights are a great support tool, though shouldn't be relied on if you don't already know how to shoot using your iron sights. Having said that, this integrated laser (in the guide rod of your semi-automatic pistol) works great, adds nothing to the dimensions of your weapon, and therefore fits nicely in your existing holster(s). Switch is ideally placed in the takedown lever where your right index finger or left-hand thumb can easily activate it.
