Works fine if you can get used to the rumbling action of the focus ring. It's a great way to put zeis glass on your Sony!

New Life for Contax G Series Lensess

The Metabones adapter breathes new life into some of the best Zeiss lens designs in recent years. In particular, the 45mm Planar shines in this application. What the adapter lacks in mechanical precision (it's not perfectly smooth on focusing movements) it makes up for by resurrecting the optical performance of these great examples of Zeiss lens design.
