Very happy

Needed to replace an existing lens that was dropped and broke, this lens fitted perfectly and provides very clear magnification. Adorama kept me updated at every stage of the order and delivery process.

Excellent eyepiece

This is an excellent eyepiece. I use it with both my 70 mm and 90mm Meade telescopes. The long eye relief make it comfortable to use and the low power wide field of view provide a spectacular view of the night sky.

once I get to use them I can give feed back.

I haven't got to use them because the Telescope I have is not compatible with the eyepieces. I'm trying to find a Telescope that is compatible with them.

Great to see the Moon

Used it on my ETX-125 and now I can look at the entire Moon. The highest eyepiece I had was a 26mm and it would not work for that. However, since it is 40mm, more light comes through so the Moon filter is not enough to attenuate the moonlight without getting blinded. I will have to look into a polarizer for this.

Great field of view

This really helps with enjoying open clusters and broad nebula's. Plus assists in locating hard to find objects. Great eyepiece.

A Good Addition

Purchased for use on my 90 mm f/11 refractor for observing planets. Was happy with the clarity of the view of Saturn under heavily polluted sky. Still need to test it under a truely dark sky.

Luv It

I use it on a Meade 90ET, as an amatuer astronomy enthusiast, it's a great addition to my collection of telescope lens. Very Clear optics.

The finest in premium telescope eyepieces....

The world standard in telescope oculars, Meade Series 4000 eyepieces yield the widest possible fields of view, consistent with pinpoint edge-of-field sharpness and long eye relief and yet with extremely low astigmatism, spherical aberration, and off-axis color.

Incorporating 7-layer multi-coatings and edge-blackened optics for optimum image contrast, these sophisticated 4 to 8-element designs permit levels of optical performance generally impossible to achieve with eyepieces of fewer elements.

All Series 4000 eyepieces include a soft rubber eyeguard, custom fitted to each eyepiece with a bayonet mount. The eyeguards fold down for eyeglass wearers, and in fact the folded eyeguard shields eyeglasses from coming into contact with the metal eyepiece housings. Rubber grips are provided on all but the three shortest focal length Super Plossl eyepieces.

Super Plossls:
Designed to utilize the very latest in optical glass types, Meade 4-element Super Plossls are excellent general-purpose eyepieces. For observing hairline lunar and planetary detail, splitting close double stars, or for resolving faint nebulosity in deep-space, Meade Super Plossls optimize the performance of any telescope type, whether f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain, f/16 refractor, or f/4 reflector.

They also operate well in conjunction with the air-spaced design of the Meade #140 2x Apochromatic Barlow. All focal lengths through 32mm are parfocal. The Super Plossl 56mm eyepiece with 2" O.D. barrel yields 36x and an actual field of view of 1.4° on an 8" f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope.
