used with 5" newt, 1000 fl scope. 149x for me good contrast, actually less distortion at outer 10% fov then 24mm pan. Don't be scared, excellet eye piece. Is the 7mmt6 better...maybe slightly but this has comfortable ER and costs 1/3 less
