Meade 6" LX80 F/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope Optical Tube Assembly with UHTC Coatings, 1524mm Focal Length, 1.25" Rack-and-Pinion Focuser

The Meade 6" LX80 F/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope Optical Tube Assembly with UHTC Coatings features a catadioptric optical design with a 1524mm focal length. Meade's Ultra-High Transmission Coatings (UHTC) are designed to optimize visual, photographic and CCD imaging performance by maximizing light reflection and transmission and minimizing light loss. With an increase of more than 15% over Meade's standard optical coatings, the UHTC coatings produce bright and clear images across the entire visual spectrum. The Optical Tube Assembly (OTA) has a Vixen-style dovetail saddle that will fit a variety of mounts from many manufactures.

Its rack-and-pinion focuser accepts any 1.25" eyepiece or accessory and it unscrews from the back of the OTA for astrophotography or astroimaging. The telescope comes with a 26mm Series 4000 eyepiece that yields 58.6x magnification and a 90deg. star diagonal for comfortable viewing - especially when the OTA is at its zenith. An included 8x50 finderscope with a crosshair reticle helps the user get on-target.
