Having constructed the well-received, the MoleLED Tungsten 12-Pack LED Light, Mole-Richardson decided to break up the 12 circuit board arrays each with 20 blue, phosphor-domed LEDs and house them separately. The MoleLED Single was born or rather the MoleLED twins were born - a MoleLED Daylight Single and a MoleLED Tungsten Single. The Single is a lightweight (0.9 lb), high-output (20 W) light source powered by Osram Kreios technology. The low-profile (1.3" depth) unit is virtually heat-free and DMX 512 compliant, so control and proximity aren't problems; you can squeeze it into situations where other lights just can't go without harming the talent. The Single is powered by the H.O. Controller, which needs to be purchased separately and will control up to 3 Singles. This is the light you want to use in car interior shots or for lectern or desk shots.
At 2.0', the Daylight Single outputs 33.6 fc with a 70-degree beam spread, but you can dim the output locally or via DMX and it's not power-hungry. The low-draw fixture offers daily production savings and a lamp life of over 20,000 hours.
