I actually don't own an M-Rock bag but bought this cradle for a different purpose. I usually keep my camera accessible just in case and so it is on a shelf rather than in a bag most of the time when I am home. After adding the vertical grip I had to lay the camera with the lens pointing up so it wouldn't topple forward. I bought this cradle to support the lens with the camera sitting upright on the shelf and it really works. Because of the grip, it would be perfect if it were just a little taller. The large cradle may work even better. I may give this one to my husband for his camera and buy the larger cradle for my own.
