will work on the ls-38 2a??????????????????
The stands themselves are fine, relatively light & strong with nicely designed locking knobs. But the add-on wheels are just OK. In fact, when I bought these I even contacted Matthews directly to make sure I had the correct wheels for these stands because they don't really fit onto the legs "cleanly"; and, because of that, the wheels do not track in a straight line and seem kind of wobbly on the stands. I often have to remove and adjust them in an effort to try and get the piece mounted perfectly squarely so the wheels track better. Matthews response to my query was they needed to keep the price down. In the long run I bought two of the Matthews Hollywood Baby Jr. Triple Riser Stands, which were more expensive, but far better made, better designed, and simply work better. The wheels are locking, which is a nice feature. The add on wheels for the Kit Stands do not lock, so it is easy for someone to bump the stand/light after you have carefully positioned it.
