Shopper : Does it function in i-ttl with the Fuji hs50exr?BONNIE M : I am using it with my Nikon; it functions fine, but I cannot say for the Fuji.CHENINE S : I don't know. It was an okay flash not very powerful.
RAY S : compatible with nikon D90 and rogue flash bender?ANDREW R : Should work with most Nikon DSLRs. The Rogue Flash bender is a "universal" system and should work with most adjustable shoe mounted flash units.

Flimsy build!

The battery cover was hard to open and shut. When shut the door was bulging. The plastic lock when securing it in the flash shoe broke when I inserted it the very first time. As a flash it worked fine, but I'd be nervous to take it out of the house as it did not feel secure on the camera. I've used Metz a lot over the years, but this item was a big let-down!

Very good piece of kit

I have not had that much time to play with the unit at the moment, but the little I have had, it has proven to work very well, and for the price, I definitely cannot complain. Well worth the pennies, and in fact, this is the second exact same model that we have in our family, and all seems good to excellent!!

Waiting to get the replacement

The flash stopped working after approximately 20 flashes. I have sent it back and am waiting for a replacement. I hope this was a defect and not a common problem with this flash.

Metz 36 AF-5 i-TTL Flash for Nikon/Fujifilm Digital Cameras is just the right flash solution. In addition, it is impressive because of its easy operation. Even bounce flash becomes child's play, due to the vertically-tilting reflector. The manually adjustable zoom reflector has other advantages.
