Shopper : is this the newer version with tube socket or older version with soldered tube?JEFFERY B : The one shipped to me had the tube socketMICHAEL J : Hi, this is Michael Joly writing. I modify these mics at my shop. It is not possible to tell without opening the mic up, if the particular mics being sold by Adorama have the soldered-in tube, or socketed tube. Someone at Adorama will have to open a mic and check if the tube is soldered, or socketed. But all of the recent TCM-1050 mics I've seen in my shop have been socketed.
