Adds comfort
A fully loaded camera bag, especially one as large as the National Geographic bag, gets quite uncomfortable during a long day of shooting. The bag has a bare canvas strap that cuts into the shoulder. Adding this pad helps, but not enough for my comfort level. I replaced the canvas strap with an Op/Tech flexible strap. Problem solved. The Op/Tech strap works inordinately better than this pad.

Great Addition to the NG Bage
Bought it to go along with the National Geographic Medium Holster. It seems a tad long relative to the bag strap length, but the width fits well. The velcro is great for easy removal. Overall, I think it is worth the price since it makes carrying the bag more comfortable.

Nice product
I have a fixed strap camera shoulder bag that I needed to have a shoulder pad for and this fit the bill. It wraps around and encloses the strap and fastens with Velcro.

I actually bought this for use with a commuter messenger bag that I wanted to use as a spare computer bag. The existing shoulder strap was not padded and was not removable; so this worked perfectly because it had a split-open design with a strong velco closure.
